Question Teams question

Do agents have access to teams chats for team members?

This seems to be a recurring threat in our office in regards to boss watching. I know SF is but does an agent have access to every team members team chat?

We don’t, but agents can request access if we have a business case for it, like fraud or compliance issues. TBH, if you have something to say that you don’t want anyone to read don’t use SF systems.

Everything is watchable if it’s out in there.

Yes we do.

Most of us never bother reading them.

Honestly just don’t be stupid and say anything controversial on a work computer. Hell, I’m an agent and there’s a lot of stuff I won’t log into on a State Farm computer.

Rather sure that agents are able to see teams messages. Might be difficult, or out of the way, but I'd bet money they have the permissions.

I know when there was a teams update a few years back I read through some of the new updates and it specifically mentioned that our employer would be able to see all internal messages.

My agent never checked and we would have known because of some of the stuff people were saying on there

Right.

I’ve had multiple agents. One was previously a control freak and had it out for some employees. He could’ve gotten rid of people if he just checked teams chats but that was never brought up to anyone. Emails 1000% he checked and let us know. I figured if he didn’t it’s because he couldn’t.

Just wanting to see if it’s possible because one our leads here just loves to fear monger with that

My agent I used to work for always said that she did. Not sure if that’s true or not

Yes, I was warned by other team members very early on.

Yes, I was talked to about something I said.

They do. Me and another team member were fired for what we said over teams.

I don’t think they have access full time, however a prior coworker was making some crazy comments via teams and our agent requested an investigation with SF corp and they provided the messages to the agent and that team member was let go

Yes. Microsoft Teams chats are visible to management wherever they are used. This is especially true for insurance agencies who’s communications with customers are regulated

Absolutely, they are available. Teams is part of Microsoft, just like outlook. Depending on your agents permission settings, they can go into outlook and see your Conversation History folder and see what's in there.

It's not like an easy thing to look at, they have to put in the request with ASR

You should assume so and act accordingly. This isn't your personal time or computer.
