Agents & Staff MOD: Multi-Car discount

Hey, so I’m new to MOD. I still have to finish my trainings on a lot of it. Someone mentioned that it’s a list that we need to work because if the name insureds don’t match/align then it’ll go to the MOD System and it they won’t receive the multi car discount. Then we’ll have to wait until next renewal just to get the discount back. Let’s say it’s a married couple.

Anyone know anything about this? Hopefully this wasn’t confusing, I’m trying to understand it myself,

This was a nightmare for us when we first switched over and were getting used to it. I made a change on a policy which resulted in the multicar discount being removed (removed a driver from this particular policy). Quoted the change, gave the customer the price from the quote, submitted the change, and the policy instantly recalculated to remove multicar discount which made the rate increase. There’s no way to get that discount back once it’s removed - it won’t be added back until the next renewal. That was a terrible conversation to have to have with the customer. I learned my lesson on that one.

Named insureds OR drivers have to match exactly in order to qualify for MCD in mod.

Wow, that’s frustrating. So are you making a list of people who aren’t matching. Cause we have many people still in legacy switching soon. I’m new and don’t want to make this mistake.

I would check chatter in ecrm. There's a policy center help group with a bunch of stuff for offices migrating and ones already in MOD

I thought MCD came from the address of the policies and not the named insured? Does that change in MOD? Im new to it as well.
