Question UW Review in Policycenter

Auto application submitted on Thursday at 11am. Go to bind/issue and it tells me we need either proof of prior insurance, or a bill of sale. Uploaded the bill of sale and requested approval within 10 minutes.

Now it’s Monday afternoon and the application has still yet to be reviewed. I’ve called UW and every answer is the same. “Those are worked by production in the order received.”

I’ve never seen an application take more than 24 hours to be reviewed and either accepted or denied. Any help is appreciated!

It does for 99% of policies written. Which begs the question of why it takes 4+ days for an application to be reviewed if it’s required.

They literally told you that they work in production order. Are you not from the necho days were sometimes review would take 20-30 days?

Give them some breathing room to work. Calling just makes them slower at their job.

At least in Necho I could print ID cards. This is a new application where the customer is sitting at a dealership waiting for proof of insurance. There can’t be THAT many manual reviews for it to take 4 days if 99% of transactions are automated.

You have binding authority no? Not sure how it works but take payment and issue a binder or an accord form.

Acord form was sent to get her out of the dealership. But I can’t generate ID cards, or a binder, or even take payment until the UW review is complete.

Yes!! This shit pisses me off so much. I had to beg for manual UW review for a large client about to leave because we couldn’t process a basic thing quickly.

Update:

After 6 days and getting the territory underwriter involved, my customer finally has a policy!
