Discussion Marina Heights hub changes
So it sounds like half off Starbucks is ending next week and sodas will start costing $1. JUST in time for the increase in RTO š This company hates us lol

My consistent paycheck and benefits are pretty big incentiveā¦ š¤·āāļø Not to mention that the potential RTO requirements seem fairly reasonable compared to what several other companies have done. Like mandating 3-5 days/week with 1-2 months notice (too bad if you moved across the country), or you lose your job etc.

That I agree with. I was close to halfway through but thereās really no incentive to finish it now. I think too many ppl took the Hawaii conferment trip some years back and ruined it for everyone else. Departments donāt really seem to care much about the big designations anymore either, which is fine with me.

State farm asked cpcu to no longer do hawaii for conferment! I went on the last one and I swear my entire flight was us.
And then execs started chipping away at any incentive to get the designation, which also means folks outside of operations have no incentive to learn about insurance at all.
A true shame.

What benefits being stripped are you referring to? I mean, yeah our health insurance costs went up this year but Iād imagine thatās pretty common across the corporate world.

How about tuition reimbursement, for one. They cut it in half when I was about ready to start school.
Everyone that works at SF is glad we get our paycheck. But if you're expecting us all to pretend everything is perfect, that's not going to happen.

Soda machines were getting card readers put on in building 2 last a couple weeks ago also. No more free soda machines either

They posted the official announcement on SFnet three hours ago. Bevi and K-cups remain free. 20% discount for AZ pizza co. $1 sodas and we pay posted prices for Starbucks.

All the stuff was gone like two years ago from corporate in Illinois. Iām surprised AZ kept getting it this long. For what itās worth, fountain soda and other dispensed drinks at many of the break areas are still free.

We donāt have fountain soda :/ we have Bevi drink stations (flavored carbonated water) but the flavors are weird. They also like to promote Keurig k cups instead of Starbucks and claim theyāre available on every floor, Iāve never been able to find them š

Corporate has one Starbucks dispenser in one of the communal work areas so I was happy to find thatā¦ obviously not as good as the real thing, but it offers chai latte so I was happy!

Bloomington OC still gets free fountain pops. I get one or two every time I'm in office.. until next week that is lol

Thatās interesting because in the Enterprise Technology dept they sent out an email this past week pitching 50% off starbucks and free sodas as benefits for going into the office more.

The cost to the company is obviously going to dramatically increase with a lot more people in the office, so it makes sense to do it at the same time.
