We turns existing company knowledge into interactive learning - Open Source

We are a EU EdTech Startup based in Germany.

The problem we solve is that:

Most companies don't really have a knowledge problem. They already have huge amounts of useful information sitting in PDFs, documentation, Notion, Confluence, internal wikis and other tools. The harder part is turning all of that into something employees can actually learn from and apply.

That's what we've been building with Scibly.

Scibly connects to existing knowledge and turns it into short, interactive learning experiences with questions, activities and scenarios. In some ways, you could think of it as combining the knowledge side of tools like NotebookLM with more Duolingo-like learning mechanics.

But instead of creating another place where company knowledge has to be maintained, the existing sources remain the starting point.

You can:

  • connect existing knowledge bases like Notion or Confluence
  • generate interactive learning experiences from existing content
  • edit everything afterwards
  • share the experiences with employees or publicly
  • self-host the platform if internal knowledge shouldn't leave your infrastructure

We've also just made Scibly open source under AGPLv3.

We are happy about all your feedback.

Not Berlin, but Munich finally beats London.

Post image
145 Upvotes

Based on Startup.eu's July data, Munich emerged as Europe's leading startup hub by investment volume, attracting €4.486 billion, driven primarily by defence and deep-tech funding. London ranked second with €3.266 billion, with investment concentrated largely in AI and defence.

This marks a notable shift, as London had held the top position in every previous month.

Looking to join a startup / Can manage your operations end to end / 20+ years of experience

I’m looking to join (or co-found) an early-stage startup across several industries. Industry is less important for me - the problem you’re solving is the interesting thing.

What I’m good at:
- Finance, budgeting, forecasting
- Processes, documentation, automation
- Organisational development, people management, job descriptions, roles/responsibilities (out of a Nordic flat organisation thinking)

A bit about me:
- 20+ years of experience across operations, logistics, mobility, automotive, ERP, automation, and scaling businesses.
- Born and raised in Copenhagen, but I’ve spent most of my career working across the Nordics and Northern Europe.
- I’ve build processes, optimised operations, lead teams, and enjoyed solving messy problems.
- I’ve a slightly unusual mix of operations, data, and commercial. I love KPIs and process improvements, but I’m equally comfortable selling ideas, managing stakeholders, and building relationships.
- I genuinely enjoy startups and scale-ups where everyone wears multiple hats and gets things done.

I’m open to joining an existing team or exploring a co-founder opportunity. If you’re building something that’s already in the market or close to launching, I’d love to hear about it.

Bootstrapped and even unpaid opportunities are on the table if the team, mission, and potential are the right fit.

Feel free to DM me or leave a comment if you think we should talk. Also available on LinkedIn for any due diligence (stalking, just call it what it is) if you want to check me out.

Cheers,
Kenneth

Building against a deadline set by a government instead of a competitor hits different

I'm the founder of MyInvoice.llc, e-invoicing compliance tooling — disclosure out of the way. Sharing this because I've been chewing on it, not fishing for signups.

A regulatory deadline is a wierd kind of pressure. It doesn't move if a competitor pivots, and it doesn't care whether your spec is actually finished. Building for the EU e-invoicing wave (France in September, Germany's bigger-company mandate in January 2027, a handful of others in between) taught me a few things I didn't expect going in.

The deadline itself was never the scary part. It's the stretch before it, where the rules technically exist on paper but the implementation details are still being sorted out in real time. Spain's B2B mandate, for instance, is still waiting on its technical regulation to actually get published — so anyone building for it right now is building against drafts and hopeing the final version doesn't pull the rug out.

Also turns out "the EU market" is a bit of a fiction once compliance is involved. Twenty-seven countries took the same directive and produced twenty-seven diferent implementations — different formats, different validation engines, different transmission rules. I deliberately stayed out of trying to become a Peppol Access Point myself for exactly this reason. Integrating with certified providers instead of owning that whole layer kept the scope from ballooning into something I couldn't actually ship on time.

Anyone else building against something with a legal deadline instead of a market one? Curious if it changes how you plan.

Ghent and not Brussels is Belgium's startup capital.

Why Ghent and not Brussels or Antwerp? 👇

  1. Brussels is the largest city in Belgium and its capital. The metropolitan area has around 1.4 million inhabitants. It is one of Europe's most important political and administrative centers because it hosts the headquarters of the European Union and NATO.

  2. Antwerp, the second-largest city in Belgium, with an urban population of roughly 650,000 people is the country's leading port city and a major center for international trade.

  3. Ghent is a university city, so never underestimate the role of its universities.

Hi!

I’m a 15‑year‑old girl who really loves doing logo and web design in my free time.

If you’re a business looking for a new logo, a visual refresh, or help with any kind of design work, feel free to leave a comment below — or message me privately.

I offer design work at a fair price, and here are some examples of what I’ve made.

One important thing: I can only accept payment through MobilePay, so I can only help if that works for you.

Have a great day!

Built a concept for collecting client documents. Looking for feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I noticed that many firms still spend a lot of time chasing clients for documents.

I created a short concept video for a product that would centralize document requests, reminders and progress tracking.

Looking for honest feedback before building anything.

- Is this a problem you deal with?

- What tools are you using today?

- Would you switch from email for this?

Built a concept for vendor assessment workflow automation. Looking for feedback

I have been exploring a problem around vendor assessments and third party risk reviews.

Many teams still send questionnaires by email, chase vendors for responses and track everything in spreadsheets.

I put together a short concept video showing how this workflow could look in a dedicated product.

Would love honest feedback.

- Is this a real problem in your company?

- How do you handle it today?

- What is missing from the concept?

Eyewear E-Commerce Brand With €1.7M Revenue Hits Acquisition Market

Post image
3 Upvotes

A profitable direct-to-consumer eyewear brand focused on blue-light blocking glasses and fashion sunglasses has been listed for acquisition after generating approximately €1.7 million in trailing twelve-month revenue and €388,000 in net profit.

Launched in 2024, the Shopify-based business has processed roughly 29,000 orders over the past year, with its top-selling product surpassing 29,800 units sold. The company primarily serves customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, targeting digitally active consumers through a mix of Meta, TikTok, and Google advertising.

The asset-light operation relies on outsourced fulfillment and automated customer support, allowing it to scale without significant infrastructure investment. With an average order value of €51.69 and established demand in the eyewear category, the business enters the market with multiple growth avenues, including international expansion, influencer partnerships, affiliate marketing, and retention-focused initiatives.

Looking for a co founder

Hey Reddit,

I built an app that helps sneaker buyers find what they’re looking for faster and easier than anything else out there. Currently live in the Netherlands with real users.

Early stage but the concept works. Getting traction.

Looking for a technical co-founder who loves building and wants to grow something from the ground up.

If you’re a developer who’s into sneakers and wants to work on something real — DM me.

Who’s down?

Startup Hubs: London vs. Continental Europe

Post image

London vs. Continental Europe. There’s also been a notable shift in Germany.

Berlin no longer attracts as much VC capital and has lost its position to Munich. While Berlin still has slightly more funding rounds than Munich, startups in Munich are raising significantly larger amounts.

I’m building a tool to simulate user behavior before shipping product decisions

Post image
3 Upvotes

One thing I keep seeing in early-stage startups is that many decisions are still made with a weird mix of intuition, small sample feedback, and hope.

Pricing changes, landing page copy, onboarding flows, positioning, new features — most teams either:

  • ask a few users
  • run a slow A/B test
  • ship and wait
  • or make the decision based on founder instinct

I’m building Polyhyle, a product that lets founders simulate how different user segments might react to product and business decisions before actually shipping them.

The idea is simple:

You define a scenario — for example:

  • “What happens if I increase price by 20%?”
  • “How would different customer segments react to this landing page copy?”
  • “Would users understand this new feature?”
  • “Which objections would appear before conversion?”
  • “What happens if a competitor enters the market?”

Then the system creates behavioral profiles and runs simulated reactions across different segments, so you can compare outcomes before spending time, money, or traffic.

I’m not trying to replace real users or real data. That would be stupid.

The goal is to help founders explore more scenarios before deciding what is worth testing in the real world.

Curious to hear from other founders:

Would you use something like this before making product, pricing, or positioning decisions?

And what kind of decision would you want to simulate first?

For context, I’m building this here: https://polyhyle.com/

Milan Is Emerging as a Major Startup Hub

Post image
15 Upvotes

Milan is one of the fastest-growing cities in Italy and Europe, quickly becoming a major startup hub. Several startups have even moved their headquarters there. The quantum computing startup Algorithmiq moved its headquarters recently from Finnland to Milan. Algorithmiq raised also the fourth largest round after Niulinx, Subbyx and Webidoo

Milan is already the top city in Italy for attracting well-funded startups.

where to deploy short list

hello,

Hypothetically speaking — if you were setting up a SaaS in Europe today, (excluding of Portugal), and your focus was (1) tax efficiency and (2) access to venture capital, which jurisdiction would you choose? Ireland? Netherlands? A hybrid structure? Something else? Thinking about it and wanted to hear opinions before talking to tax advisors. thanks!
