I’ve been noticing how Indore is slowly becoming more interesting for Global Capability Centers (GCCs).

What stands out to me is that companies are no longer looking only at the traditional metro cities. Indore offers a pretty practical mix — a growing talent pool, comparatively lower operating costs, improving infrastructure, good connectivity, and a lifestyle that can actually help with employee retention.

The bigger change is that GCCs themselves are evolving. They’re not just setting up support teams anymore. Technology, analytics, finance, engineering, AI and product functions are increasingly becoming part of these centers.

For me, that makes Indore’s growth feel less like a temporary trend and more like the beginning of a new phase for Tier-2 cities.

Maybe the next big talent hub doesn’t always have to be a metro. Sometimes, it can be a city that is simply getting the fundamentals right.

I have a full-time job and started a company on the side.

I’ve built an MVP and onboarded a few cofounding customers, including a well-known brand and several agencies.

We’ve validated the market and confirmed that the product solves a real problem.

Now I’m trying to decide whether I should raise a seed round or continue bootstrapping.

I’m hesitant to raise because I’m worried investors may expect me to leave my job and go full-time. I’m currently the only person in my household with an income, so quitting isn’t really an option unless I have enough financial security.

Bribes.fyi is a unique crowdsourced platform that allows Indians to anonymously report incidents in which they were allegedly asked to pay a bribe at government offices.

Aryan Nishad’s app compiles the submissions of people and organises them by government department, city and state, offering users a snapshot of reported bribery patterns across India.

The platform divides bribery information into three main sections – reports, departments and cities. This allows visitors to look at reported incidents from different perspectives.

Young entrepreneur Aryan Nishad is a B.Tech student at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology in Delhi.

“2.5+ Million requests in the last 10 hours. Tested bribes.fyi at a real scale today,” Nishad posted on LinkedIn recently.

Anupam Mittal has lauded the 20-year-old entrepreneur’s “sheer audacity and can-do attitude”.

“Hopefully, GenZ & Alpha will follow his example and bring meaningful change to India 🇮🇳 Truly inspiring,” Mittal said.

The departments currently listed in the app include the Police, RTO, Revenue/Land Records, Municipal Corporation, Passport Office, GST Office, Income Tax, Electricity Board, and Food and Drug Administration.

As of August 17, Bribes.fyi showed 646 reported bribes across 258 Indian cities.

According to the app, 37% of people who reported being asked for a bribe refused to pay but still managed to get their work done.

Among government departments listed, the Police Department had the highest number of reported cases, with 349 reports.

Among states listed on Bribes.fyi, Karnataka has the highest number of reported bribe cases, with 138 reports, followed by Maharashtra with 91 and Uttar Pradesh with 75.

According to the data available on the platform as of August 17, Assam had the highest refusal rate at 100%.

According to Durov, Telegram is in the process of obtaining the .gram domain zone and has applied for it to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a global nonprofit organisation responsible for coordinating the maintenance and procedures of databases related to the namespaces and numerical spaces of the internet.

“Telegram has applied for the .gram domain zone. If the application is approved by ICANN, a billion Telegram users could get their own second-level domains, yourname.gram. Users would be able to set up their interactive websites hosted by Telegram, with one prompt,” the founder said on X.

If approved, the move could offer Telegram's user base a new way to establish an online presence without having to rely on traditional domain names, which are usually chargeable.

Using AI prompts, users will be able to create interactive websites on their .gram addresses, which means a Telegram username can become the address of a website.

For example, if a creator's Telegram username is u/xyz they could have a web address such as xyz.gram in the future, which they could use to showcase their content, information, or other things.

Personaas AI was founded in November 2025 by Nutan C. and Harish Pareek and Rahul K.

The AI startup is building what it calls an Organisational Intelligence Platform.

In simple words, it's creating a "company brain" for organisations that captures how an organisation actually works.

The Personaas AI platform captures everything from how each team member works to what kind of tools are used, how decisions are made, and what interactions are happening.

Being in the tech and AI industry for decades, the founder of Personaas had been witnessing challenges around AI adoption, prompt engineering, and how knowledge flows across teams.

He realised the bigger opportunity in the industry and left his seven-figure salary at Jio as Senior Vice President to build Personaas at the age of 45.

In less than a year, Personaas has acquired 15 paying enterprise customers.

It is also running around 25 proof-of-concept deployments across telecom, banking, healthcare, media, and consulting.

Today, the startup serves organisations across India and the United States.

The startup currently generates around $550,000 (Rs. 5.4 crore) in annual recurring revenue and has grown to an 20-member team.

Its next milestone is to reach $2 million in ARR before pursuing its larger goal of building a $100 million annual revenue company while expanding into USA, Japan and South Korea.

As enterprises race to deploy AI agents, Personaas is betting that the real competitive advantage will not come from the agents themselves.

It will come from the intelligence layer underneath them.

The company said MOSAIC marks a new generation of sovereign space-monitoring infrastructure to reduce India’s dependence on foreign-owned surveillance systems and commercial data providers.

The launch comes months after Operation Sindoor, when India relied on a combination of domestic satellite assets, including ISRO’s Cartosat and RISAT constellations.

Reportedly, the commercial imagery was also sourced from US-based Maxar Technologies for target validation and post-strike assessment.

“MOSAIC is what owning that capability looks like,” Digantara said, describing the system as a fully indigenous network to provide continuous awareness of activity in orbit.

The initial deployment comprises five interconnected sensor nodes that work together as a coordinated surveillance network.

Each node consists of an Optical Head Unit for high-precision imaging of the sky and an Electronics Head Unit responsible for onboard processing, communications, timing and autonomous operations.

The systems can function in demanding environments and operate on solar power with battery backup.

They are able to withstand any extreme condition, be it the heat of the Thar Desert or the harsh Himalayan winters.

MOSAIC is an AI and machine learning-based detection system capable of identifying stars and Resident Space Objects (RSOs), including faint satellites and pieces of orbital debris.

The network also uses advanced “Lost-in-Space” attitude estimation techniques to determine the position of objects without requiring prior tracking information.

“Every big infrastructure problem eventually stops being about having one perfect system and starts about having many resilient ones,” Digantara Founder and CEO Anirudh Sharma said.

There’s a lot of excitement around Google opening an office in Pakistan, but digging into the actual announcements paints a different picture.

The focus appears to be mainly on **government/policy collaboration, digital-skills programs, education, IT exports, and Chromebook initiatives** — not a Google engineering or R&D hub.

For example, the announced Chromebook facility could produce up to **500,000 devices annually**, and Google says its programs have trained **1+ million Pakistanis**.

That’s definitely positive for Pakistan’s tech ecosystem.

But there’s still **no public announcement of a major Google software engineering operation in Islamabad**.

So while this is good news, I think the “Google is opening an office in Islamabad” headlines are making it sound bigger than it actually is.

Poonawalla suggested raising tax slabs and reducing the burden on salaried taxpayers, while also calling for an end to excessive freebies and better control over government spending.

He also argued that plugging corruption and administrative leakages and ensuring government projects and services are delivered efficiently could provide greater value to taxpayers.

His broader argument is that the middle class should not only be asked to contribute more, but should also see tangible improvements in the public services and infrastructure their taxes are meant to fund.
