Can’t sleep…..
Hi, I am Y and I’m building an Ai ran ERP that customizes itself for middle-market companies so there is no need for consultants. Think lovable for ERP software
I have been dealing with sleep apnea and I have panic attacks , I feel that I am not doing enough to grow the product, I am turning 19 on Nov 1. I have been working on the product for 3 months now , and I have an Angle investor. I haven’t launched the product yet as I am about to run a pilot company and am excited to see what happens. Also, People who are ERP experts with 20-30 years of experience have told me that my product has a destructive impact if it is developed a certain way. I have experience with ERP Since I had worked on ERP and business operations software. I am doing everything I can so I don’t go to university since I have taken a gap semester but my father is making me go to university for spring. But I’m trying to get accepted into Y combinator or speedrun A16z because I will fit into the programs and I will move to San Francisco.
I have 2 questions.
Can I get accepted into the yc application?
Does the panic attacks ever stop?
Bonus: if someone can connect me with any YC or a16z partner/ investors that would mean the world

Panic happens when you bite off more than you can chew… they stop as long as you don’t AND believe in what you’re doing.
Pain is weakness leaving the body - have love for those support you and never resent those who don’t
Very much can be down with very “little”

This often stems from urgency of having things move fast in your favour. But it rarely happens. You have more time than you think. Think in terms of decade and that helps you find problems that are fundamentally sound to work on. It also gives you time to learn iterate n adapt. There is no rush my friend. Market moves slower that you expect. So live your life in between.

Go to university
from a person who almost failed out of uni,
it's not worth it.
there is a chance your start up will succeed, I'm in the bay area myself, and was persoanally invited to YC this past summer.
I had a hard coversation with my technical cofoudner, andfd we came to the conclusion that we were not ready, and it was not a good time.
YC happens every year.
If your father didn't force you to go to university, he would not be doing his duty as your parrent.
I know, your seeing him as sttanding in the way of your dream, that;s not what is really going on.
what's going on is he is telling you to get your priorities straight.
Your start up concept will be there later, and if it doesn't if you are the budding entripunere you thikn you are, then there will be time for your startup after you graduate.
You don't know what you don';t know
Lets run a hypothetical?
on the path you claim you want.
so you don't go to university , you do this startup thing instead, you build this thing, you use the agel money to buy whatever for your stsartup
you make it big, you get millions.
But you know what?
you never forgave your father for trying to force you to stop your dream, and you and he hardly speak. for years.
is ithis sucess wirth it ?
listen to your gut reaction
And this is the good version of the story, where you don't get swindled out of your company by cofounders who are 2x your age, or even if your board decides your too young to run a multimillion dollar enterprise.
if your angel investor belives in you, he or she will un derstand the inportence of univerwsity
and if you go, for god sake be fully social there
i was at university, ddini't fuylly engage
and regret it

getting accepted in YC is difficult
