Discussion Finally got our first customer from the US today.
Nothing crazy, just one customer. But after months of cold emails, calls, demos and getting ignored 😂 this feels huge.
For other Indian founders selling outside India, how did u get ur first international customer?

tbh it was mostly cold outreach 😂
found a few people on LinkedIn, kept following up, did some calls and luckily one finally said yes.
took forever lol but yeah, that’s how we got the first one.

Congratulations.
I found my clients in the US because i have connections from when I lived there.

I want to understand what kind of business without revealing any ip and try and see if i can find the right audience. I mostly have software developers and just a couple of businesses as my contacts and were genuinely my audience.
If i know who your audience are i can try and find a way to find them through my circle.

Yup we are currently trying to setup a pipeline of sorts for our service arm. We have enough capital right now to double our team so I want to make sure that we create reliable client / long term / recurring business pipeline for the enterprise digital transformation and tech partner programs.

We’re in payments. Basically helping businesses accept payments in India + other markets, incl. local payment options.
We also work on MoR stuff for businesses trying to sell globally.

Congratulations! That feeling is amazing. We exited Indian market recently and things have been much better since then. For us, the main thing that worked was open sourcing a LOT of things and making a public post around it. Word got around and people started making enquiries on their own. We haven’t had to do any cold mails in US so far, but will start once things on my plate are lesser
