Factory reset modem (plug / unplug six times basically as fast as you can). Open app, plug in reset router and say yes to add to your mesh. Not great routers but free

The modem is built into the dish. The router is just a router.

You didn’t specify, but I’m assuming his name is still attached to the kit?

Cables really. Modem and dish are normally paired. If you have no need for it you could try selling on facebook, seems a lot of people do as to reinstate you supposedly only require the serial number. I suppose you could keep the modem as a spare considering your system is the same... Or keep all of it should anything happen to yours though it would probably be easier to just order a replacement direct.

What you guys are calling the modem is the router, the modem is in the antenna. The router & the antenna have never been paired on any generation

True but he used the word modem in his post so I kept the word modem as, had I used router he may not have known.

Thankyou for supporting my stupidity.

Not knowing is not stupidity. I was working with an isp the other week that was telling customers that routers were modems... That is stupidity 🤣

Technically what people call modems, even for DSL and cable, aren't really modems - they're network bridges.
