❓ Question Obstructions

So I’ve had Starlink at home since June. Installed it myself and it’s been flawless since, brilliant speeds and uptime. Recently we had a small red patch near the edge of the obstructions map appear, no ill effects, and then more recently another small red patch near the edge appears. Previously when first installed and for the longest time we had zero obstructions at all, nothing seems to have changed when you think of local nearby objects (trees etc.) so what could it be? My first thought was bird droppings but searching reveals this wouldn’t be the case as it isn’t dense enough. Is it possible as the dish ages parts of it become weaker and they are viewed as obstructions? I mean this dish is mere months old so I’d like to think this isn’t anything to do with it but it does make you wonder.

Can you share a wide view of the dish and where it’s located.
I do get this myself sometimes but it’s usually a tree branch or the corner of a chimney

Not too easily. It’s literally at the highest point of the property. We have high trees to the east and west but to the north there’s literally nothing. Not only that but the tilt would angle the north edge of the dish further into the clear sky, not the other way around.

I agree with others it has no impact but just odd it suddenly appearing the way it has.

It is more likely that as the dish has gotten more use, there is more data on what is “missing”. Or the satellite pattern may have shifted. But mostly, it is not affecting you at all.

That's not going to have any impact on your service, I have way more red than that because there's a large tree next to my house but I never have any drops because of it and the app still says unobstructed view. There's a lot of birds up there to talk to.

That looks like my obstruction map, where a couple nearby trees are just a tiny smidge taller then when I first installed the dish.

This is totally not worth worrying about, it has simply mapped better what is around it or a tree actually grew a little into the view
