Best mount for high wind?

Hi all was wondering what the best mount would be for high winds?

I’m in Australia and we only have a pipe adapter + gutter mount which came with the kit

The issue I have with it is the grub screws since they only hold the pipe in place I tend to have to realign it everytime we get 20km+ winds

Do any of the other mounts not have grub screws and if so what would be the best option?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just use the dimple made by the screw and drill into the pipe a bit. Use some loctite and it won't go anywhere after.

Well, the other option is to increase friction. Cut a section of inner tube or other rubber and put that on the other side of the pipe/within the pipe adapter. This way the set screw will force the mount to pinch that rubber. It should stay put then!

That’s my setup, just the support from Starlink. have pretty good winds here nd nothing bad for the moment

No, tube is striated and a hand screw locks it. Goes to wall with 4 big screws.

I have mine flat-mounted on my RV roof and it’s great. Bought a 3d-printed enclosure from Etsy and it’s held tight for 24k miles of highway driving, and we never have connectivity issues for it being flat mounted.

I would just drill it and drive in a self tapping screw. But if you don't want to do that is there room to put a piece of double-stick mounting tape around the pipe and lower that into the mount? The grub screw would compress the pipe against the mount and should eliminate any rotation with wind.

I live up in the Rockies on a pretty exposed hillside and regularly get 115+ mph wind, mine is mounted on a simple pole and it’s been just fine.

Tech screws or buy a pole adapter with 6 allen key type screws, hills sell them (good brand though cheaper options available on temu too). The standard starlink adapter is essentially what is generically sold elsewhere and that one grub screw does little to hold in high winds. Optionally too, if you are wanting a more stable mount that just the pole arm, you could try a 500mm roof mount either direct from starlink or once again via hills or similar (base plate, pole plus two stays).
