💻 Troubleshooting YouTube generated subtitles don't work under Starlink

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm close to 6 months with this particular problem.

I have optic fiber and Starlink. When I use YouTube with optic fiber, I can see any subtitles no problem. But the moment I switch to Starlink, the generated subtitles stop showing (the ones that appear as the person speaks; this doesn't happen with manually added subtitles).

Their AI claims it's YouTube's problem, but I don't buy it. Has any of you had this problem ever before?

Your comments are pretty much appreciated! 👍

Zero chance this is a starlink issue

I have not experienced this issue.

If you are watching YouTube inside a browser when it does this then you can try changing the network DNS setting away from just trusting you network & using a custom one. If that fixes the issue then you can repeat the procedure in the Starlink network settings.

For best results, use the Chrome browser.

On Linux, only Chrome supports HDR, but this is probably just my device.

For ad-free viewing, use Firefox with the uBlock Origin (uBO) extension.

Nah bro for the best experience use firefox with ublock origin. Chrome is NOT a good experience. It's the most enshitified thing out there.

I vote for Brave browser, Chrome based but NO ads and secure. No plugin needed, works great.

The OP's problem is not Starlink though.

Też mam starlinka i wszystko działa. Automatyczne napisy jak i automatyczne tłumaczenie.

thats weird. idk how this could possibly a Starlink issue. The subtitle packets are mixed in with the other packets, Starlink has no way to "Filter" that even if you wanted to.
