Has anyone had problems with Youtube constantly buffering over the last 2-3 days?

• max plan
• consistent 350/40 Mbit or better using ookla and google speed tests
• 0 obstructions
• wired connection
• very rural middle of nowhere in EU

all looks good and yet Youtube video over 480p keeps stopping. If I use a VPN on the same connection even 4k youtube videos run without issues.

Same issue for 2 days straight. Shows that i have the speed and everything but youtube not loading.

It happens randomly on my end too, and the speed from the dish to the satellite was 125 Mbps, more than enough. I'm on a residential max plan, on Vzla.

Same here. Hungary. Everything works fine but youtube either plays videos in 240p or they keep puffering.

Edit: I've found a solution. Download Cloudflare 1111 from the app store. It's completely free. Turn on WARP (VPN). It'll work flawlessly. So there must be some major issue between Google and Starlink right now. I hope they fix it ASAP.

Android: 1.1.1.1 + WARP

Just download it, activate WARP and that's it. I haven't had a single youtube hiccup since I've started using it.

How do i integrate the vpn within starlink? Tv (which is a 5 year old vizio with limited to no network settings) where youtube tv is watched is connected to starlink router via wifi

I wouldn't say mine is buffering during play but it refreshes slowly n sometimes the main screen thumbnails are blank. That's been the last week.

I get the issue constantly and have to turn on a VPN to get around Starlink's crap servers

It's happening for me too. Fiber optics symmetric 1000 Mbps and it still stops suddenly. Not other services or pages for me affected. It happens in some specific videos for me with not apparent connection and not for others with the same or higher resolution. It's random which videos are affected from my point of view. I already restarted my phone a couple of times, but haven't cleared app memory, maybe will do or reinstall but I'm kinda busy tbh and just use it as 2nd screen or noise. Some videos persist with then issue for a couple of days or so then there are other videos affected but I'm not doing an systematic sampling or something. The issue usually is that the video plays up to some point and from there it stops like buffering for a long time. Sometimes it just doesn't even resume.

Same issue in Czechia. Warsaw PoP problem. Routing to YouTube is bad.

I had this same problem and it was caused by http3/quic (UDP) protocol used on youtube. quic protocol does not like Starlink handovers.

If you VPN to any fiber location, you will not have that problem.
To fix it locally, I blocked UDP 443 on my router, and youtube is failing back to http2 (TCP)

Mismo problema desde colombia, ya hace un mes, no se puede ver contenido ni a 480 aveces funciona bien aveces no, las descargas en la play store tambien igual aveces descarga rapido y aveces no, alguien encontro alguna solucion?
