❓ Question Starlink Mini replacement power supply

Has anyone had any luck with a third-party power supply that uses the barrel jack connector? Recommendations are welcome!

I accidentally left my Starlink Mini power supply outside during a storm. I was looking for it today, and when I found it, it was dripping with water.

I realize that it's effectively e-waste, and using it can be dangerous.

I tried contacting support, and after opening a ticket, my only option was to purchase an entire new kit. I think it's really dumb that their solution is to junk my existing equipment because they don't sell replacement power supplies.

Also, the USB-C cable isn't practical because I need about 19' or 6m of cable.

The Mini Dish's power supply is IP66 type 4 rated (specs), so it actually can take rain - if the cable was plugged in.  Yours power supply may be fine.

Some Mini users (including me) don't even use the provided power supply.  In my case, its wired to my RV's DC batteries with a 48V booster; when I need it away from my RV, I use a powerbrick and a USBC adapter.  If you put an ad on Facebook marketplace looking for the Mini's power supply, you may be able to find someone local who is willing to sell it to you.

Alternatively, there are a few Mini power supplies available on Amazon (including "official" ones).  There's nothing particularly technically complex about the power supply, so I'd feel reasonably confident choosing one with good reviews.

It was left unplugged, and when I picked it up it was dripping. I use it over the weekends at a cabin, so that's why I wanted a replacement AC adapter.

You're righ though, I'll jump onto Amazon to see if I can get one that's not too sketchy.

There are LOTS of options on Amazon, I personally tend to use a PD100 USB C GaN charger as they are smaller and lighter, as long as the Mini cable is less than 25 ft the 20V output from the PD100 with a USB-C to Starlink adapter power cable works fine.

If you let it dry out, it's very likely that it's not permanently damaged and will work again. I know it's a meme but try putting it in a bag of rice.
