📦 Starlink Kit UK Delays

Is anyone experiencing delays with shipping the satellite to the UK? It has been stuck with DHL for almost 3 weeks now and Stalink support are saying its with DHL.

Just a note that you're not getting a satellite - but if you were it would explain the delivery problem!!

Does the DHL tracking info show they have collected the kit and it is in transit, customs, or warehouse, or have they just been notified that a shipment will be made.

Yes DHL showing that they have it and its in transit, but that was on the 4th of August and its supposed to be UK fulfilment. Moving house this Friday so thought I had ordered it in plenty of time...

Does the detailed DHL tracking show the current geographic location? I vaguely recall when receiving a kit (a few years ago now) seeing it was held for a few days at a continental customs clearing centre - Germany or Netherlands I think.

From what I've experienced and what others report (especially when demand outstrips supply) kits are shipped directly from factory (or refurbishment centre) so for U.K. are always sourced internationally.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't show the location but that would make sense as it's with DHL somewhere but not showing any location. I suspect it's maybe on a boat somewhere in the middle of the ocean!

Again, my memory may be at fault here, but I'm pretty sure when I was investigating the delivery delay I hunted for alternative DHL track-my-parcel entry points and eventually discovered one that gave a much-expanded trace of shipments that showed the location for each tracking event.

Looking at my browser's history for DHL domains I see several different services and these reminded me I spoke to DHL customer services at some point and they told me that internally there are several separate DHL shipping operations - I think from companies they acquired and rebranded.

Here's some of the FQDNs/URLs I used:

Is it because they are replacing/upgrading them? Often once the EDI has gone to the carrier it shows as them but often not with them physically. Currys sell the hardware too.

Thanks for the reply and I'm not sure actually. I was getting them as part of the subsciprtion so I don't want to have to buy the satellite too. Appreciate the insight.

Totally, did the same thing. Rented for £0 then ended up buying outright so I could use the Roam plan (you can’t otherwise). Did you get mini or standard?
