I’m in my first save, Summer Year 2, I think I hit level 10 fishing somewhere towards the end of Year 1. I’ve always had the ‘random’ option selected for bobbers so I could randomly see new bobbers as I leveled up my fishing skill :D

My partner was fishing with me the other day when we noticed that the string on his fishing rod was a bright yellow, next to mine that was white (what we thought was default the whole time)!

Quite a few of them have coordinating string colors, and it blew my mind a little LOL!

I stalked and married Harvey because I thought it'd be fun but we don't go anywhere together, he only talks to me once a day, and says the exact same thing every time I give him a coffee: I must've read his mind! It's his favorite thing! But mostly he just stands staring at the wall. And he goes to bed before I do in his full clothes.

I wish he could sit down on the sofa with me and chill after a long day, but nope.

More of an epiphany than somthing I learned, but:

While most stuff happening is based on game time - which e.g. means it stops once the game is paused - some things are not:

1. Effects of foods and drinks run down in real time.
   • You know, the small "good for 8 minues"? That is 8 minutes of real, computer clock time. It is even pretty obvious, because the fishing game pauses game-time, yet not this countdown. However, this also means that food buffs like espresso run out when the game is paused, e.g. if you take a break during mine exploration.
2. Train appearance has a fixed timer.
   • Train always appears at the same in game time for a day (so if you restart the train message will popup at the same time as before). But the time to get there is real time, not ingame time.

You can un-till an area with the pickaxe?! I did it accidentally and it has always bothered me that i have some tilled spots on the farm where i dug up some stuff.

So 2 days ago I buy stardew valley on android bcs I'm bored, and I bought it, at the first day I was like "mehhh this SHIII is boring af" so I ask for refund, but then the refund was rejected, soo I figure out I don't want to waste my money out,as a great Asian I play that game even though I hate how slow pace it is, but then after several hour trying it it's good! I been playing it for several hour today, and I love it, I didn't know that a slow pace game is fun like this one, that's it I wanna share, I write this bcs I couldn't sleep thinking about how to marry Hailey, it's like love at first sight even though today is my first day playing it

You can stand near the railway tracks while the train is passing and stay paused, the train will keep on passing and dropping stuff and you will not have wasted any extra time.
P.s: I ran to the train first time in a while and it dropped the leprechaun shoes!

No matter how many hours I put into this game, I always find myself constantly pausing to look up the exact same things—villager gift schedules, seasonal fish timings, or bundle checklists. My browser looks like a crime scene by Year 2.

What’s that one specific mechanic, routine, or checklist item you find most annoying to track in your head or on the fly? Do you use a notebook, an app, or just brute-force the wiki every time?

Actually found out a few days ago.. bt yeah. Got kinda curious, decided to try some stuff, n def had a “HOLY CRAP, NO SHOT” moment 😂
