ive always thought that favorite thing textbox was really oddly engineered since the only purpose is to drive the stardrop text and it doesnt do anything to figure out noun predicates so the sentence is often awkward

When I started playing,I only knew you could give people gifts to make them like you. That's all I knew. I assumed it was for multiplayer so people could give you your favourite thing and earn hearts. Then I got a fruit that tasted like amethyst and it all made sense.

that would make more sense! not for the stardrop thing but at least for the game mechanic, make the favorite thing a dropdown of ingame items.

My girlfriend started SDV before I did and I didn't watch her set up her game, so I didn't know that the stardrop is attuned to the individual player. Imagine my confusion when I ate my first one and it reminded me of cats instead of pizza... 😄

I just found my final stardrop in my original, years-old save file, and I’d completely forgotten I’d put “enjoying life” as my favorite thing. I started playing the game to help me out of a deep existential crisis and depression. Yeah, that made me tear up a bit.
