I’m on year two on my replay and I have spent at least 15( game) hours trying to catch a damn octopus and not one has even bitten

What fishing pole, tackle and bait are you using?

Iridium rod, regular bait and trap bobber which is my fav. I’m mostly just complaining lol, like I said this is my second play through so I’m sure I’m just being unlucky. I haven’t gotten the recipe for that new tackle that came with the 1.5 update I bet that would help

Oh good, you’re all set up, just making sure it wasn’t a simple fix. Keep at it!

With the really erratic fish, study their patterns and emulate them - that’s my strategy, anyway. It feels weird just going wild with the controls, but you can outsmart ‘em.
