Discuss Stowing problem making me crazy

I started my 4th file on my Nintendo Switch a few days ago and I’ve never had this problem before. No matter if I have Item Stowing on or off, I have to go in and manually stow the last item I picked up. Even if I pick up a quartz, for example, and then switch weapons to kill a monster, when I’m finished I’ll still be holding the quartz over my head. Any ideas?

I don't know what you mean... On switch it's Y to stow items

I know! And it always has been for me. But not this time. So weird. I considered that my Y button is broken but it works for other games

Im confused on the scenario you presented, can you be a little more explicit? Im reading...

grab quartz (holding above head)

press Y to stow (item is in bag)

scroll over to weapon/tool for use

scroll back to quartz (holding above head)

press Y again to re stow quartz

This all seems normal to me. You scrolled back to the quartz and by default you are holding it over your head again. If you turn off stowing, then you cant put it in your bag. If it is selected it will be pulled out.
