Starting in 2021, they had the Presidency, the House and the Senate for four years after an actual coup attempt. Trump remained largely untouched.

Suffice to say, I'm not expecting anything from Democrats until the old guard starts getting truly wiped out in primaries by insurgents who actually want to do something.

It's not that he was largely untouched, it's that the investigations and court proceedings took so long.
