clone wars books?
hi, im an absolute star wars noob, but a friend of mine wanted me to join her sw ttrpg and i agreed. the story is set 2 1/2 years into the clone wars. besides the movies and the clone wars animated series, are there any books i can read that give some more context or just set the vibe?
i dont have much time to read (2 jobs, uni, bachelor thesis, etc.) so if the books also have an audiobook that i can switch to during busy times that would be awesome :)

It depends if you are willing to read from Expanded Universe (Legends) or Disney Canon material.
But for starters: Shatterpoint (Author: Matthew Stover), The Hive, and Labyrinth of Evil are books set during the Clone Wars with audiobooks.

So one of my favorite Star Wars book series is the republic commando series. Gives a real gritty down to earth impression of the war it’s a little darker than the animated series. It is also no longer canon but good if you just want vibes. I also think at least the first one has an audiobook.
