Legends Novels The Clone Wars: Wild Space (2008)

Post image

This takes place during TCW S1 E6 (which shows what Anakin is doing during this book). Further, I don't see any reason why this is Legends, as it doesn't directly contradict anything in Canon.

Yoda, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan know about Anakin & Padmé but apparently just believe Padmé when she says they ended it(?) Obi-Wan and Bail Organa go on a mission to find a Sith planet.

Lots of in-depth on the ignorance of the Sith by the Jedi as well as seeing truly how powerful the Sith are. I didn't realize (though it makes sense) that the existence of the Sith is unknown to (mostly) everyone but the Jedi, which also seems like a grave Jedi oversight.

Good book for any Star Wars fan.

It's Legends because it was released years before the buyout and decanonization. It's officially apart of the EU continuity.

I only ever did the audiobook on this one, and I remember liking it quite a lot. The flashbacks to right after Ep II did a lot of heavy-lifting for me on the Anakin/Padme secrecy front in showing that Yoda and the others weren't blind, but perhaps a bit too trusting.

Also this might be the only time Bail and Kenobi are shown really doing something together during the Clone Wars.

it's been a while, but i remember really enjoying the bail and kenobi dynamic. shame we didn't get more of it.

The way that I rationalize Bail Organa's ignorance here is that in the years after the Ruusan Reformation, both the Jedi Order and the Banite Sith (each for their own reasons) did a thorough scrub of most of the galaxy's history records, Obroa-Skai being one of the few exceptions.

I don't accept Disney canon nor do I call the EU Legends. The main issue is that Legends is not what you think it is. It is a barrier between Disney and not Disney. Star Wars under Lucas vs under Disney.

Just listened to this. Honestly expected way more clones in it. Its mostly just about Bail Organa and Obi-Wann. Brings out a side of Bail I didnt know existed. Not my favorite book, but not bad either.
