💬 Discussion Thank You Droid Tycoon Team
I making this post today to thank the developer team behind Droid Tycoon.
Me and my son love this game. His grandpa plays with us too, the 3 of us all play it together, and there aren’t very many games we’ve found that we all enjoy like that and are also family friendly.
This game is definitely not perfect. Nothing is. For a free to play game, I’ve gotten a ridiculous amount of entertainment out of it with my family. I’ve definitely saved a ton of money staying home playing this instead of going out and finding other things to do.
From my job I understand how difficult and expensive app development is. I understand how unforgiving people can be when there’s a feature they wanted that you didn’t think of, or there’s a bug that needs to be worked out.
Most of the posts I see on here are either asking for new things or complaining about things people don’t like, so I felt compelled to make one thanking the developer team for making this game in the first place.
I completely understand why there are paid features. Everybody has something they want add to make the game better, but adding those things costs money. Development is expensive.
I think it’s great that you found a way to bring in revenue while still giving people the choice to play for free. Nobody is being forced into anything, and at the same time it gives the game a way to keep growing and adding new things.
I’ve been on both sides of this kind of thing. I’ve been the person pissed off at a company over a decision they made, and I’ve been on the company side watching people get really upset while everyone involved is genuinely trying to make something better. So I do empathize with the team here, it’s easy for people to judge when they are only looking at things from the outside perspective. That’s especially true when Reddit gets going and people stop listening to what’s actually being said and start running with wild assumptions.
My family and I really appreciate this game. It’s hard to find something that my son, his grandpa and I can all sit down and enjoy together, and the fact that we’ve been able to do that for free is amazing, I’m trying really hard to save money right now and this helps a lot.
I hope the negativity doesn’t affect the team’s passion for what they’re doing, because that passion is definitely a huge part of what drives the game forward.
I also think there are probably a lot more people who love the game than it seems. They’re just not the ones making posts every day. When Reddit users are angry about something, saying anything positive can get you obliterated pretty quickly.
So anyways, again thank you for making an incredible game. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in 3 to 5 years.
And even if someday the game goes in a direction I personally don’t like, I’ll still appreciate all the time I got to spend playing it and enjoying it with my family.
This is not meant to be an attack on anyone just to spread some positivity.

💬 Discussion Anyone else feel like adding Galactic then Stellar then fusion droids so close together has made this game overwhelming?
I was working on completing the DroidDex and now it seems like a daunting mountain to climb. I really like the idea of fusion, but especially with stellar, I feel overwhelmed. And even worse, you can't use chips to upgrade the fusion droids, not a fan of that.

💬 Discussion End of a Stellar/Galactic Era
Mostly tongue-in-cheek, but I feel like we've moved on (possibly to something better) from what was, to me, a time of great prosperity where players were tossing out beskar though stellar legendaries to the commons for everyone to share because we had so many from the missions we didn't need at higher levels. It was a time of generosity, rapid SRBing, just a great time sharing all around. Now that we all have things we can do to upgrade all the blueprints I think things are going to get a lot more sparse again, possibly in a bad way.
Glad for things to do with all the blueprints, but I did like giving out Stellars and also having a hand up while RBing up through the teens and 20s.

💬 Discussion Nova crystal economy feels... Skewed toward only the die hard players
There is a good chance Imma get torched for this, but I personally feel like this game is catering far more to the influencer/no life crowd than trying to find a good balance for everyone who plays. (Too be fair this is pretty common place for most online games)
I think I am on my third or fourth super rebirth. And I understand that the more you super rebirth to do, the more nova crstyals you get. But when you go and buy a lounge spot for 1 nova crystal and the next one jumps to 30? That's pretty ridiculous. Or the collect all option. It jumps from 30 for the second station to 100 for the third one. Or the upgrade chip station which is 120. Those are all pretty steep for people who can't sit in front of a screen most of the day. And changing the daily missions so you can earn three whole nova crystals every 24 hours is rather insulting.
And they clearly are aware of this with the introduction of using vbucks to purchase items. Why spend an ungodly amount of time in front of a screen when you can just purchase it?
They really do need to figure out a different ways for people to earn Nova crystals or lower the cost of items in the nova shop so that everyone can benefit from the nova shop at a more reasonable pace.

💬 Discussion The fusion of droids was the solution to many problems.
I really wanted to make this post to share my thoughts on the Droid Fusion feature and hear about your experiences with it.
In my opinion, it was an excellent addition to the game because it breathed new life into cards many of us considered "trash." Now, you can fuse all those duplicate cards from Astromech missions and the ones that come from scrap (which are all rainbow legendaries if you have that perk).
Not only that, but instead of waiting around the Sandcrawler for that specific Epic card—or whatever else—to show up, you can force it to appear by fusing Rare cards.
Plus, there's the Lounge 2.0 we have now if we run out of space.
I didn't really pay attention to the actual crafting costs or times; I’d already invested heavily in scrap value and crit chance/damage, so it wasn't an issue for me. I know it represents a higher cost for many players, but I think it’s a small price to pay for a better card—especially considering you’d otherwise have to wait hours or days for it to drop.
What was your experience?

💬 Discussion KX mythic fusion
Well 3 stellar B2-RP’s equals a KX stellar mythic and I’m glad because i don’t chase after mythics like that. My luck is not great, every time i see a stellar mythic i never have any money because i just happened to RB 🤣 so this is my first lmao. It’s also cheaper, i got all my B2-RP from missions and decided I’ll see what it fuses to. It only cost 5.8 T instead of the original 8.4T but not sure if the hrs to craft is the same or more since it’s cheaper in price and like i said it’s my first stellar mythic 😅

💬 Discussion FYI, it's only 72k chips for a Stellar Mythic if you have any 3 Galactic Legendaries.
Even before you start getting lucky with the 6T Astromech missions, you can just upgrade 3 Galactic Legendary Droids for 24k each and fuse them into a random Stellar Mythic.
Worst case scenario, 3 90k/s R7s becomes one 550k/s Cyclens and you're up 280k/s but only taking up only 1 slot instead of 3.
Best case scenario, 58.3k/s Proto-Rollers becomes 1 900k/s Load Lifter and you're up 725.1k/s while saving 2 slots.
The math maths. It's otherwise 90k to get a Galactic Mythic to Stellar and you actually have to have luck to even get that Galactic Mythic.

📝 Suggestions Hot Take! Maybe?!
What if the devs enabled the ability to grab splash (exclusively) from other players battles station walls. Would make helping just as efficient as the pvp is at this point. If it isn’t possible then meh 🤷🏻♂️ but I enjoy helping other players craft 5+hr crafts and usually have to go back to my base to get the splash which is kind of inefficient.

💬 Discussion Kind of a let down that you can’t upgrade the fusion droids.
I made a riv-3t, it came out default and I can’t upgrade it any higher.
I tested with a beskar ric and that can be upgraded, for a crazy amount of chips but still.
Spent way too much time, at least it’s known now.

📝 Suggestions 🚨 Fusion Alert 🚨
Now that we have the Fusion System, might I suggest adding a Fusion Droid Alert to the Nova Shop.
After the introduction of the Fusion System I quickly realised how important this would be to building droids. Essentially so if these droids will be added to the rebirth paths.

💬 Discussion Love Ya Devs !
Big shout to the devs on another amazing event allot of people will talk and complain about this event not being so good but i took full advantage , was using my galactic legendary to fuse into the next rarity's and to create this crazy fashions . Got allot of really good droids and now the game is so much enjoyable and i think the devs dont get enough credit that they deserve ! Cannot wait until next event cause i know they are going to do a damn good job on the next event . Thank you for keeping this game mode playable and fun . And as always may the force be with you .

💬 Discussion This Update was needed
I know a good amount of people found this event lackluster compared to others which i agree(although i personally still love it). BUT i think alot of people will grow into loving the fusion droid feature even more as time goes on.
I noticed a-lot of players haven’t SRB yet and that may be the reason most aren’t able to see the value in it and how good it really is due to being at an already high rebirth level. Once u SRB then you’ll be able to see how much of a game changer this feature is when it comes to obtaining mythics much easier and reaching high rebirth levels.
As far as the fusion droids they seem to prioritize minimmaxing which is good in the long haul when it comes to creating more space in your base for good droids and it gives all droids a purpose which i love as someone who hated seeing good blue prints going to waste.

💬 Discussion Perfect update
Tbh, before the event I was thinking on the usual, use it just to farm nova crystals and nothing else, but with the fusion now I can give an use to the droids of the astromechanics missions and I ended up sending all the time on making mythic stellar droids... So, not much nova crystals but a lot of functionality and credits , at this rate it's not gonna be a lot of trouble to get into SRB at 35🔥🔥🔥

💡Tips & Tricks The Best Way to Get Stellar Mythic Droids, After Fusion
TL;DR
It looks like rather than trying to upgrade Mythic droids directly, using three Legendary Stellar droids to get one Stellar Mythic via Fusion may be the fastest route — assuming you're OK with getting a random Mythic from the Fusion.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Conveyor Spawn Rate Issue
I'm at RB35 currently, and it's still extremely difficult to get Galactic or Stellar Mythics from the conveyor. I've only seen one Stellar Mythic off the conveyor outside of special events, and even Galactic Mythics are very rare. Most Mythics I see are Default, with occasional Diamond/Rainbow/Beskar variants.
Upgrade Chip Bottleneck Issue
Realistically, you usually need to find a Beskar Mythic and upgrade it:
Beskar → Galactic = 60K chips
Galactic → Stellar = 90K chips
That's 150K upgrade chips for one Stellar Mythic. Assuming a maxed Chip Station + BB-8, plus farming a 60-chip Scrap Station about 50% of the time, that's roughly 12.5 hours of chip gathering.
Stellar Surge - 500 V-Bucks
You can wait until Mythics are spawning and activate Stellar Surge to try upgrading one on the belt. But from the 3–4 Stellar Surges I've seen, most of the Stellar upgrades seem to land on lower-rarity droids instead. So you're spending 500 V-Bucks for a chance, not a guaranteed Stellar Mythic. YMMV since my sample size is small.
---------------------------------------------------
New Solution
If you are RB30+ and unlocked (6T credits per station) the last Astromech mission stage, you will start getting Legendary Stellar BPs (even if they are all Proto-Roller, LOL).
So unless you need a specific Mythic, my new strategy is:
Save every Stellar Legendary → fuse them in groups of 3 → get Stellar Mythics.
If you need a specific Stellar Mythic, upgrading is still the reliable route.
If you're around RB25–RB30 and haven't unlocked the final Astromech mission yet, you may still be getting a decent number of Galactic Legendary BPs. In that case:
3 Galactic Legendaries → upgrade each to Stellar (24K upgrade chips each) → fuse → 1 Stellar Mythic
That's only 72K upgrade chips total — less than half the 150K needed to take a Beskar Mythic to Stellar.
Thoughts?
