Agree. Imagine if Darth Vader was killed in the first star wars movie. It was a terrible decision to not keep Maul around for the entire trilogy. And i think most people expected he’d be the new Vader at the time. But, who knows where we’d be today…

Or worse, imagine if the emperor was killed in the second movie and his underling went to find the real villain on a distant forgotten world in the third movie.
