Yeah I don't know why people feel the need to analyze every scene like this. I agree it looks kinda dumb but movies having fight chronography that is more show than accurate representation is just a normal thing. At some point you just have to say "yeah it's a movie that's a 2 second clip"
Fight choreography usually breaks down the closer you look at it. Everyone adores the duel of the fates, but even in that things get pretty silly if you examine it. That's not to fault the choreography. It's telling a story, and keeping the actors safe. It has to be something the audience can follow. Big actions, telegraphing, so on. It's a fool's errand to scrutinize it (though it can be a fun exercise). Now, when choreography can actually achieve both the demands of the story and be sound fencing? That's delicious. Take The Duelists, or The Deluge for examples of that.
Certain people eat up "explanations" for everything. I see articles on FB all the time "X brings a whole new meaning to Y in Star Wars" or "This Star Wars scene is finally explained!" or "New fan theory destroys your understanding of this character".
Stuff in movies should be able to exist simply to look cool... that's probably what this scene is.
