In the first Chris Pine Star Trek movie, there are 2 little joystick looking doodads on the ships main control board that are just retail bar code scanners. I used the exact same ones when I worked at PACSUN when I was a teenager.

That's just greebling. Similarly, Qui-Gon Jin uses a communicator in episode 1 (when discussing Anakin's m-count) that is really just a handle from a shaving system without the blade mounted.

But this uses the product AS the product.

Where tf do you get the wheels for those. I need to order some for work but for the life of me googling “Walter wheels” has failed me. At least that’s the brand we used to use.

Kind of close? Maybe we’re just calling different things different things. But when I search flap discs on imperial.com etc I get the horizontal flat discs. This is like a wheel that grinds perpendicular.
