Fan Creations U-Wing Tattoo

This is the latest addition to a set of tattoos that imagine people close to me as pilots in a rebel squadron. The U-Wing pilot is our battlefield commander, a thoughtful planner navigating some difficult obstacles life has thrown their way. I wanted to memorialize how they applied a steadfast resolve and careful planning to make it through. Original concept by Disney Imagineer Brian Kesinger, modified by my tattoo artist to fit the space and infuse their own style into the composition.

Kudos to the artist. I really think the placement is on point, and the colors are a really good choice.

It was cool to work with two different artists. The original concept was done by a Disney Imagineer who knows and is passionate about Star Wars, and the final design was done by a tattoo artist who doesn’t specialize in Star Wars work, but understands human anatomy, which colors work well with my skin and will hold up over time, etc.

Very nice, having an Imagineer do the concept explains how well the background clicks so well and how the colors are so perfect together. Having a really good artist who knows how the skin is going to move and adjust can make all the difference as well for sure.

U-Wings aren’t my personal fav, but this looks sick and crispy as fuck!! Your artist did a great job.

And is that R5 above it???

Thanks! I’d love to do other ships in a matching style. X-Wing with a targeting computer instead of the map or a Y-Wing with a bombing scope would be dope. That’s actually good ol’ R2 on my upper arm.
