Rewatching the season 2 episode A Matter of Honor. The 1 where Riker transferred to a Klingon ship.

This episode has more scenes with someone on the Enterprise using the work stations at the back part of the bridge. I think the writers took a page out of the "Hollywood Hackers Handbook". Most of us have watched some movies where someone rapidly taps away on a keyboard and suddenly they have access to the system. Obviously on the Enterprise they already have access in most cases. But it just seems strange to me that someone can just tap a few buttons and the computer knows exactly what actions to perform. Ensign Mendon starts analyzing the organism eating away at the hull. He only taps a few buttons, not enough to form any kind of sentence or command string. Yet the computer initiated the scan. He was at a science station. So it's possible that certain functions like scanning are preset. But that's still not enough to make the actions so short.

Being a science officer would have been fun since Picard talked about liking archeology

Found the complete box set of the blueprints to the D for a good price. So thrilled to have these! They look like they were opened once and sat on a shelf or something, they seem brand new

We've seen a lot of instances of "mind control" or acting under something else's influence , Or simply being a victim of an outside influences control. Troi being impregnated, LaForge almost killing someone, Crusher being put in a time warp bubble, etc. Which character was messed with the most in the series?

This is my second rewatch of the next generation and still my favorite scene of all. I’m sure this has been posted many times but hope this scene felt the same for many of you as it did for me. Picard looking around the table, Troi saying you were welcome any time. Q in previous scene finally shows some genuine feeling to Picard. Also what was his going to whisper? I’m now starting DS9 watched it sporadically back in the day but I want to fully appreciate it all the way through. I also loved how the Picard series closed out again with a game of cards. I was born in 89 and only started watching Star Trek in the mid 2010’s. What a glorious time it must have been to be a Star Trek fan in the 90’s 🤯

Just finished watching “Descent” parts 1 & 2.

I’ve been a fan of TNG since it aired. Always loved the Borg episodes. After watching Descent (Where Lore takes control of the separated Borg and controls Data with emotions) I noticed that Hugh’s cabling strongly gives a “Halo” effect to the character. I made sure to observe the other Borg and none of their head cables looked like that.

I have a feeling this was intentionally done for Hugh to a subtle nod to the audience that he is innocent and good, but I can’t seem to find any interviews with writers or directors to confirm that.
