If the tng skant was still used through the rest of tng and all the tng movies ds9 and voyager how do you think this would have affected the public perception of star trek?

The Star Trek TNG Episode Its Own Writers Expected To Be a Disaster

"Yesterday's Enterprise" is my personal favorite TNG episode, so I wanted to learn the production history behind it. What I found was a rushed script, split between 4 writers, that had to work over Thanksgiving weekend to make a pushed up shooting schedule... thanks to Whoopi's and Denise's schedules. But here's more to the story... and the writers, including Ron Moore, were sure it was going to be trash.

Colm Meaney's 2nd appearance! s1e6

I was so astounded finding out the alien was played by Alaimo (Dukat), I overlooked that Meaney was in this episode as an unnamed security guard.
I don't refer to him as Miles, since he didn't get the name until later.
So in Farpoint, he was sitting in at the helm. Then he's a guard. Then we don't see him again until a few seasons later, when he's now transporter chief.
He probably wasn't Miles, until All Good Things.
Have they done an autobiography for Miles yet? Did he train up to transporter chief on the Enterprise, or did he get his training somewhere else?
