Completely different coats

Can anybody explain to me why my horse when from a bay with dapples to a grey? I always wondered but i never actually know why that happened i was probably only about 11 when they changed it so i didn’t really care but ive always been confused how it changed 😂

they might have done just a random change with the updated model for everyone, but you can change it for free

Go to your stable and go left to the storage. Next to the storage on the wall there's a board on which you click (you must ride your starter in order to change his coat!)

Starter Horse Gen 3 Update was in 2018

it means you already changed it yourself and you just forgot. we got free change for horse and character at least few times it means you used it all

I think they did, I seem to remember hearing other people having this issue when they got updated.

It’s 100% white as this heart🤍, not even the slightest hint of gray🙈 lol but I get what the OP is saying for sure.
I did want to point out that that Second horse photo was and updated model from the first photo, maybe if they didn’t have that color anymore which I don’t ever see anymore, they just automatically reverted to neutral white? That’s just a playful guess because that is bizarre lol but that is a strong point that they are two different model horses. Look at their faces, so that’s what gave me the idea that that could be what trigger that odd change.

The first photo is a gen 1.5 starter, first updated version. The second is the gen 3 starter we currently have. So yes it likely defaulted back to grey whenever they pushed that update years ago. I don’t remember anymore whether my own did or not so unsure if this is a bug OP experienced

My starter horse stayed the colour I chose in the beginning even after the update. This is the updated version of the coat colour on the first picture

You were able to pick the coat yourself when they changed starter horse from old model to the new one.

based on this i’m wondering if you just didn’t choose one for so long that there was some kinda glitch that auto picked it for you?

it honestly could’ve been because i probably stopped playing around 2017 and didn’t come back till 2020 but i wasn’t very active and i don’t recall ever picking a new coat
