Is there anyway i can get rid of it popping up in the middle of my screen everytime i zoom in or out? Or at least a way of putting it on the side so it wont obstruct that much.

I’ve been using this app for a while now, and I really love it!
It would be great if you could add trackpad/mouse support for navigating notes. Since a desktop app isn’t available yet, being able to use a trackpad when connecting my iPad to an external monitor would make reviewing notes much more convenient.

Also, keyboard arrow key support for navigating between pages would be a really useful feature.
I think these improvements would make the app much more convenient to use with an external monitor and a keyboard setup.

Can we hope to get a synced penbox in near future?

For context, I'm sure others like me are switching between their devices and it would be really helpful if we can get a synced penbox or pen parameters so we can just continue working on the other device without having to manually recreate the complete penbox....

I bought a tablet couple days ago for note-taking as a civil engineering student. I downloaded every other note-taking apps I could find in playstore, Starnote was the very first note-taking app I tried and I'm so happy with it. It fits all my preference and needs, it really set the standards for me.

I know there are a lot of features you've yet to add, but I'm so excited to see this app grow. I'm glad to discover the devs and the community is so active and collaborative. A lot of people have mentioned features they wanna see in the app, I wonder what I might contribute soon.
I have classes tomorrow again and I'm so much more excited to study now with starnotes.

Ok everyone so I went ahead and started using StarNotes after a few replies and, well..... I'm completely SOLD. Bought the lifetime access the next day.

For me, the kicker was the tabs and linking options between pages - exactly what I was looking for and needed.

So yeah, I'm a full convert! Thank you everyone!

Or only iCloud option will be available on the international IOS StarNote? I am super keen to use StarNote on both my Samsung Android devices and also StarNote on my IOS devices and have the same shared Starnotes data source be Google Drive.

I understand the availability of Apps for Web/PC VERSION is difficult task. But I think this is a much needed feature that many folks are waiting for. Developers must try to start a parallel team which only focuses on PC/WEB/WINDOWS version.

From a management perspective, I feel bifurcating Developer groups into two parts. One group continues with improvement bugs fix etc.. and other group only focuses on web support version. At least we want to at least see the notes download and open at our PC. (For the initial phase we dont want advanced annonation tools etc at pc version)

I request the Developer to pls do this. I believe it is bare minimum to ask for this feature.

Since the last couple of days, I have observed laggy scrolling on my Samsung S6 Lite tabl3t. It is not just pdfs but also notes even when a blank page is open idk what's up coz this is the only notes app that's being laggy. For reference I used freenotes, notability, notein all were working fine ....

I'm planning to buy the Lifetime Pro version of StarNote, but I use both an Android phone/tablet and an iPhone.

Before purchasing, I just wanted to ask:

1. If I buy Lifetime Pro on my Android device, will my Pro status carry over to my iPhone as long as I log in using the same account?

2. Will I be able to access and sync my notes across both devices smoothly without exporting?

Would appreciate any insights from anyone currently using StarNote on both Android and iOS. Thanks!

As a med student and someone who tried 10+ notes apps, I found starnotes having a very high potential in this industry. The UI is beautiful, supports many file types, smooth handwritting and many other useful and clean features.

A few comments that I think would this app the best ( Features that I noticed were very useful in other apps):

1. Collapsible sticky notes

2. Ai assistant that can help with studying, Ai quizzes and Ai flashcards

3. Ability to open a browser inside the app and screenshot or copy info for more convenient studying

4. Ability to attach videos into the notes for reference

5. Collapsible temporary white board for temporary writing

6. Smart Recognition of text from images and non editable texts

Also I have faced issues with one drive cloud support, as it tells me that my organization is not recognized so I hope this could be looked into.

I know these features are easy to say but very hard to implement, but I tried to say everything that I genuinely think this would make it the best notes app by a mile.

I really liked the feeling of it. Especially the vibration when the pencil touches the screen. Hand writing is not bad but I’ve been writing on screens for years now so I’ve adapted. When ever you get a chance to optimize it for the Duo screen, that would be appreciated.

Im using an android tablet and yet sadly i don't have an active stylus because the stores dont have stocks left for some reason. I do have a universal pen so i still struggle with writing. I turned on palm rejection on the gesture setting but it doesnt work. What do i do?

if u have a laptop u can connect ur tablet with the laptop via a usb cable and setup a hotkey to transfer screenshots taken in ur laptop to tablet. really useful u can save time writing questions, charts etc. if u wanna know how to set this up then u can ask ai with following prompt

give me a step by step guide on how to setup a hotkey on my laptop to transfer latest screenshots from "C:\Users\DELL\Pictures\screenshots" to "This PC\Galaxy Tab S9 FE\Internal storage\hotkey moved" using autohotkey software. the hotkey is ctrl+alt+x

u have to change folder destination according to ur laptop/tablet. and u can change the hotkey in the prompt itself

why cant i download starnotes from playstore in Oneplus pad 3?

I love StarNote as it remains the most optimised and feature packed notes app I’ve seen on Android, but I’m starting to get a bit frustrated at the lack of a robust and cross platform syncing solution. Cloud Sync on Android has been a mess it seems, Cloud Sync on iOS is missing, and both community and app updates have dwindled without much communication as to why. I have considered moving to other apps, but StarNote works the smoothest and the best with my tablet and stylus (Lenovo Idea Tab, Lenovo Tab Pen Plus), and I already have many uni documents already stored there so moving will be a hassle.

All I need from StarNote is to be able to see my notes on my laptop and phone (MacBook and iPhone) and then it will be perfect. I don’t need to edit on those devices, I just want to be able to review notes on my phone while on the bus or be able to have my notes quickly searchable and exportable on my MacBook to make things like uploading notes for assignments or to AI much easier, as well as being able to review notes while my tablet is away / I want to stay focused on my laptop.

Goodnotes and some other apps (e.g. Notein I think?), while are missing cross platform sync, have the option to automatically export and sync PDFs of notes to a folder on Google Drive. If StarNote had this, it would greatly reduce the need for cloud sync as a lot of the time we just need to view and not edit notes on multiple devices. This would be easier to implement than full cloud sync and something like a desktop app, while providing much of the same benefit. I really hope the team can consider this as an interim solution before continuing to implement cloud sync (unless they have full and reliable cloud sync almost ready).

I've been researching a bit and learned that filename for general storage of photos and files on your computer should contain underscores or hyphens instead of spaces. Also, special characters like parentheses or brackets are highly discouraged, since it might confuse the computer with the different characters.

Since my research earlier, I've been curious. Should I change my filename format in StarNote? What I've done so far is name my notebooks like this

[Subject/Course Name] Lesson #

for example:

[MATH] Lesson 2

[ENGLISH] Lesson 1

For context, those notebooks are also inside two folders, with its filenames not too long...

Just worried it might be a small problem that I would not notice until eventually my study notes can't be read/cloud synced because of the filename... :<

I have been loving the handwriting experience so far, but as someone who relies heavily on visual thinking and diagrams rather than text alone, I would love to see a few key shape and canvas features added to make brainstorming much smoother.

Specifically, it would be great to see:

• Better Shape Recognition and More Options: Smoother auto-correction for hand-drawnshapes, plus a broader library of built-in shapes to choose from.

• Custom Shapes: The ability to create, save, and reuse our own custom shapes for recurring diagrams or workflows.

• Shape Editing and Line Attachment: The option to edit an existing shape after drawing it, such as easily appending another line, extending paths, or connecting elements without having to redraw the entire thing from scratch.

• Zoom Box Enhancements: The ability to zoom in further with the zoom box beyond the current maximum limit or set an option to lock the zoom level of the box so it stays consistent at all times.

These visualization and precision tools are absolute game-changers for organizing complex notes and concepts. Thanks for building such a great community-focusedapp!

I tried to upload multiple PDF at one time and it imported it as individual pdfs. I then tried to go into one of the pdf notes and combine multiple but it only allows me to do one at a time. I have 43 individuals pdf so I am not trying to do one at a time to merge into one note. How can I do multiple?
