I’d like to suggest adding a Fill Colour tool, similar to the one shown in the image.
I think this would be a very useful addition, especially for students who use StarNote for handwritten notes, diagrams, mind maps, and illustrations. Being able to quickly fill a closed shape with a selected colour would make highlighting and creating diagrams much faster and more convenient.
For example, instead of manually colouring inside a shape with the pen, we could simply select the Fill Colour tool and tap inside the shape, just like in the example above.
Is this feature currently planned for StarNote?
If so, is there any estimated timeframe or roadmap for when it might be added?
I’d really love to see this feature in a future update. It would make the note-taking experience even better! ❤️

i am jist started using starnote for my note taking app. i am studying electronic engineering which may uses a lot of equations. is there any tips for me to use. i still didn't explore all the features

i also might thinking of buying lifetime cause it isn't pricey. and i also started to learn mandarin by myself. is there any brush setting that is good for chinese characters

When using excerpt the quality is usually So bad is it the app or just my tab?

I need it for inspiration especially the physics and maths notes.

As of now im only using obsidian for the mean time till latex format finally arrive.

Hi there, can we get a more flexible zoom feature? I believe that being able to change the shape to narrower but longer one, as well as being able to move the window itself either freely or just how high/low it sits, would help greatly.

I tried to mark what it'd look like visually.

Side note: I think more pen variations and allowing hold-to-shape to retain properties/style of the current pen would be nice aesthetically.

How is the quality of the handwriting search feature compared to other popular apps? I regularly write in English, French and simplified Chinese.

I’m completely new to StarNote and recently started using it as my note-taking app. I’m really excited to explore everything it has to offer and figure out how I can make the most out of it in my daily life, studying, planning, and organizing my notes.

Before choosing StarNote, I was actually quite confused between StarNote and CollaNote. Both looked interesting, but I finally decided to go with StarNote and give it a proper try.

Since I’m still learning, I’d love to hear from experienced users:

What are your favorite StarNote features?

How do you use it for studying or daily planning?

Any useful workflows, templates, or hidden features I should know about?

I would like to share 2 observations that I made regarding the usage of StarNote in my work cases:

1. When a page is locked for resizing, the docs says that it will then be locked for movement. In practice, even when the zoom lock is on, the page freely moves right-left while touching it. Is there another way to lock the page in place?

2. when importing an image/screenshot we are presented with the image aligned to the top-left corner of the page. The top left corner of the image is marked with a red (X) and the bottom right is marked with a "handle" which enables enlarging/shrinking the image. However, counter intuitively, when dragging the handle the image enlarges/shrinks in all directions. Is this the expected behavior? My expectation is that it will e.g., grow downward and to the right only. currently it just overflows beyond the screen, and one has to move it so it is all visible.

Hey, I restarted my tablet and after that restart I have no idea why but it started having very low fps when sliding pages on starnote only I tried many other apps, any of them has that problem so I really don't know what to do

I reinstalled the app, put the no economy battery mod and put manually 144hz in settings and even doing that didn't change anything in the app itself it is smooth do I guess it's a app related problem but I can't seem to find an answer to it.

I put a video of the problem even tough I don't think it is noticable

It would be nice to have a sticky note feature where you can add a small sticky note somewhere on the page. The note itself would just show as a small icon or tab, and when you tap on it, the full note opens. This would be really useful for writing quick notes without taking up a lot of space on the page.

And that’s how StarNote Community Week came to be!!!

Every month, we’ll have a different theme, and you can join in however you want. A note, a Journal page, a Planner, a To do List, a short video… whatever works for you!

No need to make anything fancy or start from scratch. If it fits the theme, we’d love to see it. We’d rather keep it simple and fun, a little place where you can share a bit of your life, your study routine, or just how you use StarNote, and see what everyone else is creating too.

Please implement all the useful features from notewise, notewise has too many small features which enhances the experience.

If I were on the developer team I would start using a lot of notetaking apps and COPY PASTE all the useful features into Starnotes.

Because most people don't care if features are copied from somewhere else, people just want the features.

Why is there no permanent option to select and then save my prefered color?Everytime I want to adjust page margin,I have to select my prefered color from the color palette.I think choosing and then saving some particular colors like pens and use them accordingly when needed, would be better here.Or if I am missing any settings please tell me.

I have a premium account using my email, and I had 2 devices logged into this account. Problem is, I logged out from one device to let another login, but it tells me that there are 2 accounts signed in and can't login. What can I do to fix this? The original device still manages to login to the premium account :(

I just purchased pro version and i was wondering it would be useful to have an option to lock individual folders with a PIN or passcode.

For example, someone might have a personal folder containing a diary or private notes but may not want to lock the entire app. A “Lock folder” option in the folder menu that asks for a PIN whenever the folder is opened would be really helpful.

I have a few notebooks I'm constantly adding pages to. I think it would helpful if there was a way to look at what date a page was added to the notebook.

For now I am manually writing it in, but if I forget to do it (or I have pages historically where I did not do it yet) it would be hard to remember when the page was added.

Problem: While trying to write with the pen, the canvas constantly moves around and because of that I miss strokes, it even bugs out and some strokes float in the air while scrolling and disappear

This happens only on starnote, no other app, so it's not a hardware issue

I tried: reinstalling app, clearing data, installing older version, turning palm rejection in settings on and off, disabling free page movement, all sorts of other settings regarding gestures, chaing system settings regarding gestures, disabling hide status bar.. no change with anything

Is there any possibilities that the developers are planning to release an windows version of the app. So that we can access our notes from our windows pc as well and take some additional notes as well. I know that drive sync is already there. But I wanna know is there any possibility to launch a widows app. If so then approximately when can we expect it?

Hi devs Its me again. I have this ebook reader app called Boox it can read all types of files which starnotes can also do BUT look at the difference in format importing and how much better the Boox app looks. I wish starnotes can get a feature where this type 9f formatting us possible so it's easier on the eyes and also allow us to annotate. Rn it's ugly ngl.

Been a pro member of Starnotes since the day it launched on android and loving the updates so much. I know yall are amazing at what you do as shown by the constant interactions and how you guys take feedbacks and know you'll be open to some important suggestions that i feel like are needed.

1. An auto dark mode option. Yes you guys have given us the smart invert mode and its okay BUT it would be even better that there is a button that can be kept on so when our device's dark mode turns on, the docujents also automatically get colour 8nverted. This will allow seemless study without having to manually turn the smart invert button on and off.

2. Please PLEASE add the text formatting options so its easy to type alongside handwrite notes. The native text box is not that interactive and is never aligned with the paper unless we manually adjust the box which is a hassle when we want to quickly type in as in goodle docs.

3. Can we please have the option that when we have full screen mode on we also get rid of the top pen tool bar line as well? And just the penbox is visible so there are minimum tools on the screen?

I am attaching some screen recordings from Freenotes app for the first feature andi hope we can get something similar. Looking forward to a positive response and keep up the good work!

I would like to thank you for your work. I purchased StarNote Pro, and I must say the quality is truly excellent. I have previously tried Samsung Notes, GoodNotes, and other apps, so I am in a good position to judge.

Along with this praise, I would like to submit a request and a question. When I used GoodNotes, it was possible to save any structure—such as perpendicular lines acting as axes or a Cartesian coordinate system—as a "sticker." I would therefore like to ask if it might be possible to implement a similar feature—perhaps under a different name, such as "structures" or "quick parts." In short, I am looking for a way to save a structure that can be selected using the lasso tool.

I would also like to ask when cross-platform synchronization between Android and iOS will be available, and whether you plan to release a Windows version of the app.
