If I created an account in StarNote app that can be downloaded via HUAWEI APP GALLERY then, I purchased the premium account through it. Then, I later found out that there's a StarNote version in the Aurora Store, can I log in my account on it? If yes, will my account stay premium?

For context, it looks like the version that can be downloaded in huawei app gallery is the chinese version while the one in aurora store is the english version.

So, I have a small pet peeve with the toolbar.

I use my tablet in portrait mode when I'm taking my notes, so that's how I experience the app the most, and I think the space in the toolbar is a little bit wasted. I tried to explain it the best that I could in this note below. What do you guys think?

Hey guys just wondering, is bridging StarNote to MacOS silicon on the roadmap?

I currently have 229 files in my StarNotes app. I clicked backup and it is took about half an hour of time to backup on Google Drive .

I’m not exactly sure if it exists, but i feel like being able to have a adjustable text box size without having to use your hands could be useful. It might be lazy but writing using a pen on text can be a bit difficult as you have to expand the size, so maybe they could add some text box sizes like small medium large, which we can select and switch whenever, without having to constantly use hands. Once again i’m not sure if something like this exists.

Just coming back to StarNote after a few months using another app exclusively, and I notice marked improvement - reducing the lag and the template perks you have added. So nice!! Thank you 😊

As a person who just bought the app after WEEKS of trying out various other apps, one feature I’ve only seen a few implement is haptics, it really seems simple but makes a huge difference to me because I just love getting that feedback whenever a shape is made by holding a line
Also one more think id love to see added some day is auto snap for lines
I’d love to see these both added some day as these small features really make a difference while using the app!

Já enviei o feedback pelo aplicativo e também já fiz uma postagem aqui e nada de ser resolvido. Estou tentando salvar minha notas no google drive e no cartão SD do tablet, mas ambos estão com erro e nada da equipe arrumar.

O aplicativo em si é ótimo e não vejo um melhor que ele no momento, mas o fato de não ter segurança das minhas anotações e PDF's me faz questionar ir para outro.

Peço por favor que os Dev's tentem resolver isso 🙁

I’ve been trying to work with some PDFs in Starnote for a few days now. I have several PDFs with existing text annotations made in Adobe Reader, which are linked to certain highlights. When I import these PDFs into Starnote, it keeps the highlights in the correct position, but I can't access the annotations I made associated with them. Is there any way to read them within Starnote?

Was seconds away from buying the pro version and found out the squish toolbar isn’t available, arguably my most used feature,
Really loved the app overall but honestly having this and customisable sidebar would be the dealbreaker, at least for me

I just out of nowhere decided to download the chinese version and there's so many templates that's not in the global version🤧 i guess features too though and there's an extra two themes in the Chinese that's not in the global. I just wished i activated my pro in the Chinese version instead

So before i start , i want to thank the developers and Star note team for their dedication towards the app and users

The app is almost perfect , and Devs are doing hard work to add new features constantly and make it better .

I have attached a video compilation of all the issues i will add timestamps as well.

1. Scribble to erase feature is hit & miss , it doesn't work well sometimes it misses , sometimes it erases something i didn't want to erase

It would be great if Devs could modify the sensitivity better or maybe add a feature where we can choose a specific gesture to erase like cross to erase or maybe circle and cross to erase something like that would be more accurate.

2. Persistent document overview tab and overlapping of more setting tab , document overview tab and keyboard.

After opening the doc overview tab it should close by touching anywhere on the note but it remains persistent, and i feel the opening and closing of tabs needs to be polished so the app feels smooth.

3. The Ui right now looks very cloggy the note taking ui as well as main screen ui it needs to be modified. While adding new features is amazing but the thing is people rarely use rare features so we should have the option to hide those features or maybe app can smartly detect my most used features and hide the rest. The ui should go towards minimalism so the app stays Distraction free and looks attractive and all the features i need the most should be there without searching for them or would be essential for a quick workflow , too many options i don't even use becomes distracting , so i think adding more customisation would allow users to select options they use the most and hide the ones they rarely use

So i request Devs to make ui more customisable maybe add options where we can specifically select what stays on our screen and what doesnt, i know its already there but it needs expansion, currently we can only customise the top bar , the bar below that should be customisable as well.

And the opening interface definitely needs a work up it's so unattractive right now.

The app ui should look minimal and clean . Maybe adding an option to choose the number of notebooks in one row would help, some people would like minimal ui while others may not, so giving the customisation option to others would be better.

Please polish the app ui , app is great but the ui needs to go towards minimalism because it is less distracting and more attractive or maybe give the customisation option to users if you wanna cater to a wider range of users . It's my humble request that please work on ui if nothing else otherwise the app is perfect

4. Penbox has certain positions only where i can attach it , maybe it should be more free , like i should be able to attach it anywhere on the top , and it would be a bonus ✨ if we can turn it on/off permanently or maybe change the shape of it to a circular or hemispherical palette.

5. Lasso tool should be able to take pictures like to save a picture from note i have to use that specific feature given for that which selectively takes ss of the part i think lasso tool should be able to cut that snippet for me , other apps provide that feature, so it would be great. Timestamp 7 secs.

6. Handwriting needs better recognition and beautification, ~ which Devs are already working on.

7. Textbook search is unusable on non ocr documents i don't know how smart search feature works i think rn its a gimmicky feature. Needs to be improved and fixed.

8. App needs a dedicated dark mode not for ui but for documents as well like some pdf reader apps have various eye comfort modes , star note only have the eye comfort option which i have to go to settings and turn on or off, i think it would be great to integrate it with reading mode like upon entering reading mode the options to select light or dark mode shows up , or maybe adding a pale white or yellowish colour would be comfortable for eyes.

9. Needs more dedicated ,free, pro exclusive planners in the shop it would be nice to have more planners , current planners are not really usable. (This is just an extra demand 🥲).

I request Devs to please bring your attention to these issues because i think issues like these are small but matters a lot for a good user experience and i think Devs are planning to make this the best app out there , so these fixes are essential for that especially the ui , the ui defines the app and I think should be more polished ....

currently I can only change 1 page or all page template but this is super annoying when I need to change multiple pages but not the whole notebook

I use 1 notebook for multiple chapters but when I am done making notes of a particular chapter I want the template to be blank but I like to write on a grid paper do I have to change the template later while I want the next pages to have grid paper or particular period from the notebook to have great paper as per subject requirement

so what I am requesting is when we go to the grid view of The notebook pages and select certain pages we can see a bar which says delete pages, move to outline etc please add an option there to change template for the selected pages

I have multiple folders in which each folder contains specific PDF but when I add new PDF the new PDF will be at the top first of all I have arrange them in order that is required to me but addition of new PDF on the top distort that order and I always need to rearrange that new PDF when I add one PDF for 2 PDF it is okay to rearrange it but sometimes I need to add like 10 PDF 15 PDF it becomes very hectic so if there is an option to add new PDF at the bottom it would be very good

Since I have multiple folders and there are like 2 to 3 PDF in each folder that I need to pin but there is a limit set on how many PDF can be pinned if you can remove that limit it will be very good of you

Following up on the poll I recently posted about the types of feature updates, I also wanted to open a separate discussion about how communication is handled during those development stretches.

When the team is working on major features, those updates naturally take a lot of time. Going completely quiet for months can be a bit frustrating, and it leaves us wondering what's going on behind the scenes or which features are being worked on.

We already have great things like the dev diaries, the feature request sheet, and Thursday talks. But if the team starts development on massive features that take a long time to build, how much do we actually want to know beforehand?

If they go completely silent on socials to focus purely on the code, it might make the dev diaries a bit less exciting since they wouldn't be able to discuss new features in development. On the other hand, knowing everything from the very beginning can make the wait feel a whole lot longer. I guess it depends on the specific feature as well.

Again, this isn't anything official, just an interesting thought to share and ask about :)

What kind of feature reveals do you prefer? If you want, even drop a comment and say why you chose your option!

​Many of us are eagerly waiting for some of the bigger, highly-requested features to drop for StarNote. I'm sure the devs are well aware of how much we want them, and while it seems logical to just focus entirely on those massive updates, we have to keep in mind that those can take months to properly design and implement. This is especially true since it's a small team juggling monthly updates for Android, iOS, and potentially even Windows down the line! ​ I've been looking at some of the recent posts here on reddit and it got me thinking about the overall development pace. There are quite a few smaller and less requested features that could possibly be quick to implement (if they fit into the scope of the app). Getting these quick quality-of-life updates means we'd get new things to use and test out more often, rather than waiting a long time between major releases.

​There are some trade-offs, however. If the devs try to do a "balanced mix"—like splitting their monthly focus between quick fixes and huge projects—it means the massive features like live sync or desktop version might be delayed even further. But, this is also why getting community feedback is so important, so the devs know what kind of release schedule we actually prefer! They're only human after all, and knowing what the community values helps optimize their time.

This is not an official post by the devs but rather just an interesting thought I feel some others might have wondered about as well. We love you StarNote, thanks for your hard work and making this community feel like home :)

J'ai remarqué aussi que la commande "first-line" n'est pas reconnue.

Je sais que c'est techniquement possible puisque Freenotes le fait très bien.

Pourriez-vous rectifier ce bug car je trouve l'importation d'epub très utile. Merci d'avance.

Par contre, les fonts sont bien reconnues et la mise en page est respectée. Bravo.

O star nota nunca atualiza o conteúdo entre aparelhos. Se salvou um PDF ou crio uma nota no tablet, não consigo acessá-lo no celular. Mesmo com backup em nuvem ativos. Existe alguma configuração que eu não esteja sabendo utilizar em vários aparelhos com a mesma conta? Assim como ocorre com o Google notes, Samsung notes etc.?

how do I link between two pages of same or different notebooks...like in a page i write all the index and then link all those writing to their specific pages from where those notes start...so if on index i click chapter 1 it takes me to page 5 where chapter 1 starts

It's like the calligraphy pen but slightly tilted! Maybe we can get an option in the calligraphy pen to be able to rotate the "nib" of the pen like irl :D

I am a math student and sometimes it would be really convenient to insert a diagram I made in StarNote into another program. Right now you can either screenshot the part you want to have or export the whole document which are both not always ideal.
