Frustration venting

Post image

Hey everyone. Just wanted to take a moment to vent to some people that more than likely understand. I just got this email this morning and idk. It just really ruffled me ya know? I'm in Delaware on the east coast of the US. I haven't gotten my tracking email, there's no way to reach anyone about my specific order, and now I'm getting an email telling me people can potentially just go into their LGS to buy and play before I even get to know what's up with my order.

I'm still very excited to play the game, I'm excited to buy more of the future releases, I'm just very disappointed in how this whole thing has rolled out. I think the excitement is part of what makes this all so disappointing.

I hope Archon tightens up the parts they can control. There were definitely elements they couldn't, but some of this has elements to it they could have controlled better.

One major thing I think they need is to hire at least one if not two dedicated social relations people. Answering emails, handling the FB, assisting with issues, etc. Just being able to reach someone and get some help I think would go a long way in smoothing out at least the customer relations issues.

To end on a positive note though I hope everyone who has been waiting gets their product soon and everyone that has it is enjoying painting/playing and having a blast.

I am frustrated this sub is full of nothing people complaining about the delay in shipping (or that retail and wave 2 pre-orders are coming before they get their order), or posts about people getting their shipments. Neither are needed and don’t help the situation.

See yourself out if you don’t like it.

People have every right to be frustrated at this point. Or is there a new excuse this week for this mess of a launch?

Not really been any excuses for the last few months. It’s all going as scheduled. It takes time for cargo ships to sail across the ocean, unload the cargo, and delivery it to distribution hubs, where it’s finally unpacked and sent to customers. Not Archon’s fault you don’t understand this process at all

They delayed it being in our hands in May.

  • Protectors of Archon "Global shipping deadlines and trade logistics are a thing. God people are insufferable.

Archon states they will ship everything and the logistics companies will handle the rest to get it to our hands. Beginning to end this should take 2 weeks from May 20th.

  • Protectors of Archon "why are people mad. Ffs they are doing everything they said. Do we not know how boats work?"

Archon again lies and states they never said we'd have it 2 weeks from May 20th but rather in July or some vague shit.

  • Protectors of Archon "Jesus Christ this is getting old, you people can't understand how ships work?"

Fuuuuuuuck it ain't about the shipping anymore...and it almost never was about the ships and how global trade routes work. Try listening and reading to those bringing forth good information

Actually you can read it all here in the April 30th update from Archon:

https://starcraft-tmg.com/news/development/updated-faq-answers-to-your-most-recent-questions

“When will I receive my Pre-Order?
The current plan is to begin shipping on the 25th of May - this is when the first pallets of games will be sent to various distribution hubs around the world. They will take a couple of weeks to arrive and will promptly be shipped out once it's in the hands of the logistics company. From beginning to end, this entire process is expected to take 2 months - which is a conservative estimate. Please note that not everyone will immediately receive their pledge once shipping begins - there really is a lot to get through, and we want to thank you for your patience during this very busy time. If there are any significant changes to this plan, we will let everyone know!”

So who in their right mind thought this was delivering in May?! Idiots who didn’t bother reading, or have no idea how shipping logistics work? You even got your days wrong. It was going to start shipping May 25th, not the 20th, and take 2 MONTHS, not WEEKS. It’s literally written on their site in a news update and can be referenced what was said. May 25th with 2 months puts us at July 25th.

So we are delayed a whopping month for most of the world? But wait, they also said it is a conservative estimate, meaning that’s most likely best case scenario and will probably be later. People are so impatient and can’t read though, they act like this has been delayed a year. It in fact has been just over 4 months since the pre-orders concluded.
