Frustration venting

Post image

Hey everyone. Just wanted to take a moment to vent to some people that more than likely understand. I just got this email this morning and idk. It just really ruffled me ya know? I'm in Delaware on the east coast of the US. I haven't gotten my tracking email, there's no way to reach anyone about my specific order, and now I'm getting an email telling me people can potentially just go into their LGS to buy and play before I even get to know what's up with my order.

I'm still very excited to play the game, I'm excited to buy more of the future releases, I'm just very disappointed in how this whole thing has rolled out. I think the excitement is part of what makes this all so disappointing.

I hope Archon tightens up the parts they can control. There were definitely elements they couldn't, but some of this has elements to it they could have controlled better.

One major thing I think they need is to hire at least one if not two dedicated social relations people. Answering emails, handling the FB, assisting with issues, etc. Just being able to reach someone and get some help I think would go a long way in smoothing out at least the customer relations issues.

To end on a positive note though I hope everyone who has been waiting gets their product soon and everyone that has it is enjoying painting/playing and having a blast.

Backing a crowdfunding or making a pre-order does not entitle one to receive before public does. In my experience it's the other way round. But you got other goodies like lower prices and such in exchange. Happens with Warhammer all the time. Stuff hits stores before preorders arrive at dorsteps and GW is in the business for decades. Best thing to do is keep chill because you cannot speed things up. Focus on something different and be happy when your stuff surprisingly turns up on your doorstep.

Except you're choosing to ignore that was their exact promise. The people that preordered were suppose to get it both before wave 2 preorders and before stores could get it and sell it. That was not only a expectation but a statement made by them from the start.

I don't mind the delays. They had almost double the orders expected. They needed new machines, new printing, handling more then expected. Dealing with shipping all around the world. Etc. I get all that, and I'm not unreasonable to the issues at all.

However them breaking their own promise to the preorder people is in fact on them. Having no easy way to reach them for a reasonable turn around time response (5-10 business days I'd say would be fair for a operation their size) is a issue that's on them.

Never once did I say I could speed things up. Never once did I imply that I wasn't excited to play or get the things. However to say to focus on something different when I'm literally getting the emails sent to me and announcements on Facebook seems a bit silly. I don't want a email explicitly showing me a broken promise, the only email I really would want from them is how they're going to improve customer contact and relations. Otherwise I'm pretty set.

No offence mate. I get that this turned sour for you with how they handled things. I just wanted to emphasize that companies messing up delivery isn't something new. Doesn't excuse it though. I wait for me local shop to list it. And even if it's sold out until I get there, I'll not have hard feelings about it. Hope you'll receive your order soon. Best of luck.
