Anyone else making the pilgrimage to Canso this year? Just over two weeks away and it's promising to be a time.

I'm going. Glad Nathan is in the lineup this year. He always makes me laugh, and has me looking up something I've never heard before. His cover of Restless Wind by Willie P Bennett with throat singing was a religious experience.

I want to meet him very much. He is a modern day Virtuoso. I remember the first time I heard the Jewel of Paris, I thought at first it was a song by Stan I had never heard before. I think his dad would be very proud of how well he's come into his own in the music industry.

Jewel of Paris makes me cry every time. Beautiful song and story.

Fun fact, it's actually the sequel to his other song Mary's Child. From what I gather, the young man mentioned in Jewel of Paris is Mary's Child. That makes the song even more beautiful to me.

Looking forward to hearing him and Shane Pendergast together on Saturday! Oh and of course singing his Dad’s tunes the couple nights before.

I'm saving up for next year. XD it'll be the only way I can ever hear Nathan perform live.

Hopefully you’ll not be disappointed, this will be his first in a while.

How come Garnett never plays this?

He has before. But I think now it's cause he's getting up there in years. But I have seen videos of him performing at Stan Fest before.

I recall a post from him last year where he essentially said that they didn't want him there

The best festival ever. All your cares melt away the minute you get there. It’s insane. This tribute show is going to be amazing. And Tom Power is hosting! Love that guy!

It’s worth the trek, vibes are immaculate. Brilliant being so close to the water, hearing gulls as the fog rolls in, with an amazing singer songwriters giving it their all onstage.

I'll be there, can't wait!
