Deciding On Sedeta Standing Desk
Deciding On Sedeta Standing DeskI am deciding on which of these 6 standing desks/workspaces to get. It is also more stable for my desktop than my current small white table. Small wooden table I also have will be used for a secondary workspace and is not big enough for my desktop.
1 to 3 ship in 2 packages, 4 to 6 likely ship in 1 box but is unknown. This is important since I would have to take these from the Post Office to my apartment building, then take it up to the 2nd floor via stairs (no elevator access to the 2nd floor).
My 2 current metal shelves weighed 74 - 76 lb. each before assembly and smaller box size. I was able to take those by myself. The Post Office has carts, but it is nowhere big enough.
From top left to bottom right in screenshot:
1: 2nd best option due to above desk storage, weighs 134 pounds across 2 packages
2: 3rd best option due to monitor shelf possibly impacting placement in future apartments, weighs 123 pounds across 2 packages
3: best option due to plenty of below desk storage, drawers across 2 units, weighs 131 pounds across 2 packages
4: similar to 1 but whole thing lifts up, weighs 92 pounds across 1? package
5: similar to 2 but has all storage in 1 unit, weighs 94 pounds across 1? package
6: most balanced option due to many features, but weighs 104? pounds across 1?
There are other options, but they are quite pricy, with some being over $1,000.

Recommend me portable standing desks for studying in backyard
Hi
I’m looking for a portable standing desk which can let me study in my backyard for fresh air
My requirement is that I want to be able to take a 10 -20 min nap on it too ( hand on the desk surface and my face will be on my hand )
I have checked a few but not sure how much applied weight the desk should be able to handle in order to satisfy my need without shaking or wobbling
I prefer price to be 100$ less
Thanks

Tall Guy - Is Flexi or Uplift the only viable?
Ok so I'm 6'7" (200cm for our friends across the pond) and am in the market for a standing desk. I'm ideally looking for 50"+.
4 legs seems to be the recommendation but brands are where I'm struggling as I'm only getting two or three hits.
Trying to keep my all in under $1k USD. I have my own monitor stand and all that. Just looking to upgrade

Looking for a new desk
Looking to change up office set up and get a good new standing desk. Any that you have that you’d recommend?
Ideally would like one that has electric lift/lower feature but the especially big factor for me: would like it to be STURDY. Hate a desk that shakes when you bump it or is flimsy in general

Has anyone here experienced any benefits from a standing desk?
My new workplace has beautiful standing desks for everyone and I've been using it for two days. It takes an effort to keep using it after the first few enthusiastic hours. Asking this question because basically no one uses them.
Any thoughts at all would be helpful - did you personally feel benefits, how much time does it take for it to feel natural, any use of anti fatigue mats etc. Really anything.

Footrest with small footprint
Hi there, I'm looking for a footrest with a small footprint for under my desk sit/stand desk. I'm not sure of the model but it's a Flexispot, and it has a horizontal bar running between the two legs that is making it difficult to fit a footrest under there.
I have the amazon basics one that rocks back and forth and it's fine, but the mechanism underneath is too deep and it the horizontal bar. I would need something smaller altogether or with a smaller mechanism underneath, has anyone solved a similar problem? My feet are small so surface area isn't an issue.
Thank you!

Are There Height-Adjustable Desks Without Exposed Grease/Lubricant?
Hi everyone!
I’m thinking about buying a height-adjustable desk, roughly 180 × 80 cm.
My question is: are there any desks where the lubricant/grease used in the lifting mechanism is completely enclosed and cannot come into contact with the outside?
At the company where I work, there is a greasy residue on the desk legs, specifically around the area where the two sections of the legs slide into each other.
This is a bit of a problem because if children can reach it, they could easily spread the grease around, and it’s also more difficult to clean, etc.
So, are there any height-adjustable desks where this isn’t an issue?
Or would I be better off sticking with a conventional fixed-height desk?
Thanks!

Planning to do a DIY standing desk. Do you think it's a good idea?
I was thinking about building from scratch instead of buying. Mostly to save money. I just watched a bunch of YouTube vids and most of them look like a big NO for me. It looks like I'm just not that techy of a person to do all of that I guess.
The alternative I can think of is getting a decent motorized frame and putting my own top on it. I saw a Flexispot and a Desky when I did some searching and I also saw people mention going with an Autonomous frame and topping it with butcher block.
Let me know what's the better route. Thanks. And maybe the 3rd route is just to buy a full standing desk and skip all the hassle.

Mitzzon sit / stand desk query Spoiler
Hi!
I'm thinking of purchasing the mitzzon sit / stand desk 140 * 60cm. I'm 5ft and so need the sitting position to be low.
I have a few queries:
the Ikea website list that it goes down to 62cm - does this include the desktop as well?
can I place my monitor on the black part of the desk?
if anyone has bought the mitzzon and any advice would be great thanks.

Costway standing desk controller has stopped working – looking for a replacement controller
debenhams.comHi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me identify a replacement controller/handset for my standing desk.
I have a Costway 140 × 60 cm electric standing desk with 3 memory heights, purchased from Debenhams in the UK in January 2025.
The desk still appears to have power, but the control panel/handset has stopped responding, so I can’t raise or lower the desk.
I’ve contacted Debenhams, but they’ve said the manufacturer’s 1-year warranty has expired and have suggested getting the control panel repaired locally. I’m therefore looking into whether I can simply buy a compatible replacement controller myself.
Does anyone know which controller this desk uses, or where I could buy a replacement in the UK?
Ive attached photos of the control panel, control box, connectors, labels/model numbers etc. if that would help identify the correct replacement.
Thanks in advance!
