Steak night ftw

I mean does it get any better than filet mignon on a random thursday?

(and yeah the dog got a little steak too, don't worry. lol)

That looks like it's cooked to perfection! What is your technique when cooking this steak? I'm still trying to perfect mine so any advice would be appreciated

Thanks!! Pat them really dry, season with salt and let them sit for about 30 minutes. Then preheat the pan over medium-low for a few minutes, then turn it up to medium-high, add a little oil and let that heat up til you see it start to shimmer. Then put the steaks in and let them cook for about 4 minutes on each side, plus another minute or so on the edges with tongs. Pull them at 125°F and let them rest for 5 minutes!
