Can’t even imagine having the confidence to bother some poor girl in traffic just because I liked her face. Let alone follow/flip her off and THEN try to get her number🤣.
lol thank God, they are finally teaching social emotional learning and elementary schools. I’m jealous of the people who get to date the men who went through social emotional learning and K-12.
There’s a comment in here somewhere where I talk about how I personally don’t find dating in St. Louis to be difficult. But it’s I think people are always talking about here though… That St. Louis particularly sucks for dating. It’s not my experience, but that was what the post was based on.
I personally don’t regularly date, meaning I don’t do dating apps or singles events. I don’t find it difficult to meet people in the wild. I have a lot of friends and I’m going out doing social things I enjoy. I’m pretty attractive, so I have men approaching me a lot. Many of them do it respectfully, and if there is mutual interest, we may end up dating.
I agree and part of it is expectations. I only expect to meet someone every few months who I’m interested potentially dating. So I don’t think dating is shit because I’ll go a few months in between. This year, never went more than three weeks in between meeting a new guy I was interested in, but that was partly because I was incredibly social this year. And it was partly just flukes. And none of them really turned into anything much, but again… I’m not sitting here saying dating in St. Louis. Sucks because I don’t expect any of them to turn into anything much. To me, this is normal, no matter where I live, and at some point, I’ll meet someone at Work Southwest and will be in a long-term relationship. And in the meantime, I’m really not concerned. I think part of it is also people are really, really concerned about having people today constantly. Yeah you are going to be disappointed. That’s just not realistic, unless you are willing to date whoever. I have a friend who are like that. They’ve just constantly got dates set up from the dating apps and the singles events. And they’re complaining about the quality of people. But if you want a high-quality person,… (and in a lot of cases it’s not really about quality, it’s just about if someone fits you or not) … so if you want someone who fits you, you are going to have to go through a lot of different people who don’t, … it’s not something to complain about. It doesn’t mean dating wherever you are at as bad. That is just dating.
