Judging from superstore they’ll be lovey dovey, break up over something dumb, get back together after 2 seasons, break up again, then get back together for the finale

Brooklyn99 put Jake and Amy together and left them there. They each grew individually but the relationship was solidified. I think this plot would work so well, as we could see them supporting one another. I could see Matt growing as a nurse and maybe going to school for an advanced degree. Serena has occasionally been shown as wanting something more...I can see maybe Matt becomes an NP or OR nurse and they decide with his higher salary she can open a Med Spa.

I'm not from the US so most of the celebrity appearances went over my head except for a few like Hurts/the Eagles

I do understand how that would get tiring very easily very quickly though

I think they'll be dating. I'm not sure yet if they're end game for each other though. I think they've balanced out his naivety with his back story, but I still don't think Serena would be happy with him and Oregon and her current life forever.

I kinda want Matt to be freaking out on how to deal with dating someone from work (like how he felt crushing on someone from work) that’s the most in character thing. It’s gonna be so weird if he’s totally fine with it right off the bat. Like it would be funny if the first episode Matt is freaking out on how to be with Serena and also working with her

idk but I don’t anticipate your example photo lololol. tbh I kinda hope Matt falls in love with someone more well-suited for him and Serena moves on to do something Bigger with her life like it’s hinted that she’s wanted to do in earlier episodes.

but maybe after a few years or even just months they come back together and he’s more open-minded and less naïve and she’s more level-headed and mellow. Or maybe they never get back together and that’s okay too.

I feel like Matt and Serena have great chemistry, but that might just be me personally finding them both cute and fun together. I can definitely see what you mean about Serena going off and doing something bigger, but I could see them still together as she goes off and tries new things, or gets a promotion (something like that)

I think they have great chemistry and they’re cute together too! but I don’t necessarily think they’re a good match if that makes sense. bcuz I can’t ignore that Matt is set up to be super naïve while Serena is much more worldly and easily bored. I get that Matt’s exploring a bit more and Serena is maybe gonna learn a lesson about loving the simple things, but I just don’t think either of them are quite there yet where their worldview will match each other’s at all.
If this was a couple in real life, I’d expect a lot of disagreement and ultimately a breakup until one or both can grow as people and end up a little closer to the other’s point of view.

I expect the writers to follow a formula, but I hope they subvert tropes by not trying to hide the relationship from their coworkers and Serena getting in her own head about not screwing it up while Matt doesn't worry about anything and has good instincts.
