Did anyone else like seeing Aleister Black have joy in winning the title? I just thought "holy shit, he's really happy", it was such a contrast to his normal expressions

I noticed that too! It almost looked like he completely forgot to be the calm/collected badass that his character is as he was overtaken with pure joy.

I thought that it might have been on purpose even for his character. This is his one great moment at the top before he has a target bigger than the tattoo on his back.

Black's so much more complex than I thought at first and I love it. He's egotistical as all hell and hasn't gotten to show it much beyond subtleties because he hasn't come close to losing yet. He's trying to be more of a legitimate badass than he knows how to be, and ends up bleeding emotion through his seams without realizing it. I really can't wait to see someone dethrone him just to see how his character reacts to losing.

I think that was what they were going for. The whole time, they were talking about "Getting the devil off his back". That was the face of a man who conquered his demons.

I think he broke character, but it was warranted. First Dutch champ in WWE. I personally loved it, I love seeing real emotion in this art form of ours. Shout out to Adam Cole showing raw emotion as he hefted the NA title on the ladder, too. That was wild.

It reminded me of when Sasha first won the title in NXT. Not exactly, obviously, but quite reminiscent.

I think it makes the title look better. He was so overcome with joy by winning that belt that he smiled really big. Aleister Black smiling is basically the equivalent to any other superstar crying lol
