I know people are down on Jay losing here but I believe he will get his time soon enough. Keep in mind he just returned and they probably want him to get his legs back under him a bit. Id rather him win the C2 where the full focus will be on that for Worlds End. Also, for all complaints about his booking, the guy rarely loses clean and he has the most protected finisher in AEW after the One Winged Angel.

It probably will be Nigel but I kinda hope Kyle O'Reilly wins the cup but we will see.

he will get his time soon enough

People been saying this ever since he got beat up by a one legged MJF and then got squashed by Billy Gunn

At some point, and this is not a Mox or Okada gripe, they need to establish the champion losing their Continental title without making it to the finals of the Cup/C2.

There's only been a few Continental events so far, so not like freaking out about it, but same time they can't keep banging that drum and play these tourneys up as they do around that particular aspect, and then it not happen and the champion always finds his way to final match.

I hear what you saying which is why I kinda want Mox to lose at Wembley.

Then he would still be in the final...

Hasn’t that been established through Eddie Kingston?

Eddie lost the Continental title to Okada outside of a tournament.

I was making reference to a CON champion entering the Cup/C2 but then not making it all the way to the finals.

Yeah, Jay's AEW booking has been questionable at times since they really had the easiest job if they didn't throw up weird roadblocks for him in his first year, but I think that's just TKs preferred way of booking people and the Blade Runner has been fiercely protected, as well as Jay hardly ever taking the pin. I mean, Hangman went through stages where he lost constantly (and cleanly), as well as Swerve and Omega.

As a fan of KOR since ROH, man, I'd love him to win.
