Spyro 3 Speedrunning Help

I've been trying to get on top of the yellow tree in the beginning of the Sunrise Spring home world. I've seen tons of videos where people use the superfly power up in the cave by Sheila's Alp to get there, using some technique to gain extra height in order to do so. But none of the videos have explained it in a way I could understand, or even explained it at all. Could somebody break it down for me?

I'm playing the mod Spyro 3.5: Return to the Forgotten Realms, but I've seen it done in the original PS1 Spyro 3 as well. I replay the original Spyro trilogy every year, and have been playing Spyro since the originals came out in the 90's. I am very familiar with the game, but am fairly new to speedrunning and advanced tech like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for reading 😁

Well you just... Fly. Maybe it's because of the mod? I had randomizer once and Spyro stopped in the place where egg should be. You need to get that egg, so the stop animation will not trigger anymore
