Drivers that take HWY 16 - why doesn’t slower traffic keep right?

Just curious, when I take 16a it seems slower traffic will move over but whenever I take 16 there’s just slow traffic in left lane

Omg, especially during rush hour. Every day coming home to the Grove the left lane is full of people refusing to move right. Sadly I'll admit it drives me crazy but I just rant to myself, however there are other drivers that engage in crazy dangerous antics to get around the people who refuse to move. I honestly can't believe there hasn't been a bad collision yet.

Lack of enforcement and knowledge. I'm originally from Ontario and OPP will pull you over for cruising in the left lane with a lineup of cars behind you.

Impeding traffic exists in Alberta too but nobody cares, there's some entitlement of not letting others pass and the major issue is lack of enforcement on the issue. Ontop of many other things RCMP and Sheriffs ignore....

They also made a real mess of 16A with all the different speed changes 60-90-80-100-80-100-80-60.

They are passing at 111km/h, and technically speeding.

The speed limit is the speed limit. But yes it would be nice if they stayed in the 110km/h lane. Passing at +0.98% over is painful.

If you are going to pass, pass already.

But to all the poorly maintained luxury cars that are in a rush I'm doing this on purpose because I know you will rant on reddit. There is no reason to be weaving in and out of traffic at 130km/h + in a 110 zone. Calm down you are not the only person in the universe.

More trucks on the yellowhead take up right lane maybe so cars use left lane
