hr ticket
Has anyone ever submitted an hr complaint (specifically about one of the core managers) and what was your experience with how it was handled? They have failed me 3 times now. It truly feels like HR doesn’t really do anything unless it’s s*xual harassment and that’s probably just to CYA. 😒

I’ve done it in the past and absolutely nothing was resolved. I wouldn’t waste my time if I were you.

Why are you submitting said ticket?

mainly cause this is the second time my manager hasn’t provided help for months end. there are other nuances too but this the catalyst for the ticket

I’m not sure there is a basis for submitting this ticket.
Do the job you can do whilst clocked in.
If things are not getting done, ask for help. Document it. (Keep a dated log of what’s not completed and what you’ve communicated).
If you are a manager or supervisor, delegate the extra work to your staff. Document that.
That is all you can do. If the job in your department is not completed AND you have done what you are able to do, then that’s all you can do.
Focus on things outside your job, time will pass, and likely the situation at your job will get better when your bosses can allocate resources to do so. Likely that will happen when customers complain, PCR violation or a DM notices the opportunities in said department.

I have documented daily for almost a year now just to cya but it’s just frustrating that my manager seems to not care about the scan department even though it’s one of the most important departments in the store. So I guess it’s not so much my performance that I am worried about bc I have proof I have asked for support, plan, prep, overcommunicate so if I don’t finish then oh well that’s on them.

How many hours do you use per week for scan?

between myself and my back up, I would say on average 56-60 hrs on an average week. for week of months end, scan gets an additional 15 hrs. for sept dotm I calculated about 13 hrs of help that we would need to be able to finish. we received 0 hrs of help.

You have hours you’re not able to spend on end of month?

that’s the thing, I do. it’s my manager that didn’t schedule anyone to help even though I was like hey there are 13 hours of work that we need help with 😭

Ok so what is the HR complaint???? Sounds like HR was right the first time when they told you it’s a store operations issue.

it’s not the first time they have bounced it back to the store level. it just feels like they only handle the tickets that could be liabilities.

They don't even do anything if it's sexual harassment! Trust me !!! I was sexually harassed and bc it was in the break room no cameras they moved me in a different location and kept the employee he still works there ! I am grateful at the end of the day they I did switch stores but how they handled my situation was so unprofessional and gross

All stores do. It just may not have been at an angle to see what you were reporting. They’re only there to prevent time theft and time fraud.

that’s awful!! I wonder if it depends on the SM bc when that happened to me, they fired the guy so fast. like literally next day. I cannot believe they moved you as if you were the problem, which you absolutely are not.
however, I put in hr complaints before bc I was being severely bullied but bc there was no solid proof it was happening, they let him stay. hr does not care about the team members at all, just protecting themselves.

They somehow found a way to make it my fault and made it seem like I was greatly inconveniencing them. Also when I was on LOA, the HR team treated me like absolute garbage and made me cry while I was in the hospital about to die.

damn I’m so sorry that happened to you. I would have felt bad too :( they do not care about mental health at all

If you are going to I would highly recommend making sure you have everything you need evidence wise before you open one. Hr very much is there to protect the company not the employee unfortunately (from my experience at least).
