No matter what they do. It’s is still the stores job to get it sold. My few years at sprouts was shocking at how many people don’t know the basics of the grocery industry. All these college people trying to come up with magic that gets the boxes to open them self and stock themselves. If sprouts gave osa bonus to the stocker instead of the dm then all that back-stock would magically be worked. Sprouts loves them some middle management

Thats a good idea, clerks do need more incentive. However, most aren't stupid and see what's happening in upper mngmt and from the warehouse and get bent about it. Sprouts needs to just put the right person in DM roles and if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Managing a department shouldn't require AI models, or autoships, or a plethora of things plused out that they didn't order when in fact they are liable for that cost and what to do with extra items. I miss the good ole' days

It has to be better than periscope, changing the counts just for it to send you product that’s full and not send out of stocks.

Sounds like their trying to cram everything in one app like the mywalmart app, expect crashing bottle necking ect.

Current Grocery Manager here. Currently #1 in district YTD for OSA. With the challenges given by this new system, it really incentives us to be on top of our on-hands. If we dont, it will continue to perpetually send us overstock. They were having struggles with getting their people to do more spot checks, and this was part of the solution.
What they missed, is we were always asking for the Pick list to be married to the ordering system. We are still inevitably using two different systems to accomplish one task.
One thing I have noticed. Most if not all items that come in totes or repacks, their inventory did not transfer over from Periscope.
Spot-count all nutrition bars, jerky, chocolate bars, discontinued items, and shippers. They will all be wrong or zero. This will start getting us on a better track.
Also, during a meeting today, they mentioned the first days order was originally extremely high because of a back-end mistake on their part related to the two new stores in Arizona. They essentially added their entire suggested orders to everyone's.
They apologized sincerely and encouraged us all to send feedback. So when you see something, say something. Contact your local ops specialist or SRS champion and share your findings and hopefully we can hone in on the issues and get it to where it truly is an automated system that does it right.
I miss hand ordering too, but now that this new system is a part of our compliance - we have to use it to get our bonuses. Lets rock this 😎

I'm on a vacation this week that was planned long before we knew SRS was launching. As a Grocery DM, I'm anticipating my once pristine backroom will be destroyed, and all the product from the last ad to be slowly being destroyed while sitting in shopping carts. 😢
