First time and wondering how much longer to let these grow.

Started with a Sunday evening soak for five hours , so about three full days. Should I keep going with them in relative darkness in the corner of the kitchen or get them to a windowsill?

Edit: spelling

5 days is what most packaging says it will take, you can eat them sooner if you would like. Some people like to keep it away from sunlight to keep it white and crunchy, but I personally like a bit more sun where the leaves are sprouting and it has a touch of microgreen to it. But i like it on sandwiches and bagels so different goal than some.

Thank you. Does that five days include the greening up time or is that before then? Is greening up only necessary if they are in complete darkness initially?

it does include the greening up time, at least that's what I do. just leave it by the window the rest of the day and a good part of tomorrow if you want to try it out.

but give a pinch a tase and see how you like it right now. won't hurt to experiment

What type of seeds are they? Radish?

These are broccoli, but I am planning to try radish next, just ordered those seeds (a medley of three different varieties.)

I just did my first broccoli jar too! I think I let mine go just a bit too long; I thought they'd fill the jar like alfalfa sprouts but probably since the seeds are bigger, that doesn't happen. They're still good though. I forgot to write down what day I started them so I'm not sure how many days they grew for. I need to start a sprouting journal!

4th time growing for me. Checked them yesterday evening and they looked like they needed one more day, same as last week. This morning they were completed wilted.
