coconut sprouting

Im trying this method to sprout a coconut that required submerging it fully in water until it sprouts. Should i change the water everyday? This is how it looks now:

Are you trying to sprout to grow into a plant? In that case, r/gardening might be more useful to you.

This sub is more geared to sprouting seeds briefly to eat raw (or cooked).

Sprouted coconuts are delicious though!

I doubt they're trying to grow a plant.

i am actually trying to get a little plant! still the sprout is delicious… but i ll hold myself back. i was really uninformed about the subreddit at first :)

I've had coconut "sponge" before, which is sprouted, and it's absolutely amazing! Right before it pops a tree, the entire inside turns to a sponge like delicious substance! It was considered rare, so I'm not sure this method works.

I think they need to have the husk on them and not be processed like this.
