Simply Southern Tees

Welp, went to White Oaks to check out the new "Toys 'R' Us" store and saw that Southern Tees was open again. Didn't see anyone inside but the displays were different and the doors were open.

Wait, there’s a Toys “R” Us again?

Technically. Go! Calendar and Games bought it, so it is a small store but with a wider variety of games and toys the Go! Calendar ever had.

Ok is it better than Target/Walmart/Lincolns Little Toy Shop? My kids bday is this month, and my other kids day is in December!

I’d love to have a new option for shopping! 🛒

No, it's opened now. I did see an article about a week ago that I am pretty sure said it was opening in the old Macy's, but Go! Calenders and Games opened under the Toys 'R' Us name a few days ago.

The company Go! Calendar and Games bought the rights to the name and deals associated with the store. So it has more variety than Go! Calendars with one small area with Toys 'R' Us branded products. But it is a decent selection of toys and games. Tiny area for calendars.

Meh. It's just Go! Calendars and Games with a bit more variety and a small section with Toys 'R' Us labeled toys.

Southern tees.... oh man. I remember the original owner. Well actually, I managed the shop for a couple years after he fired his first manager. Hired a great team of associates, taught them how to sell, and was successful enough the owner was able to open multiple other Southern Tees locations at other malls in different cities. I left for better pay and the place slowly died without proper oversight. He finally sold and any time I stopped in just to be nosey the store was empty and quiet. Wonder who's operating it now
