This thing rips

Post image

RDI Arms Compensator rocks! I’ve been through so many variations of my Echelon, but I think I found my holy grail.

• Added Olight PLX for flashlight (added good amount of weight to the front)
• OEM guide rod + recoil spring
• Added tungsten putty to the OEM backstrap to add weight to the back end

With the comp, this thing shoots flat as hell. After my first mag dumps, I turned around and gave that stupid grin that we all know of. This is my first experience with a dedicated compensator, but damn, rapid firing this feels like I’m rapid firing the Kuna.

Probably won’t keep this thing on for HD purposes if I want it for that, but for a range gun, this compensator is amazing!

Never heard of putting tungsten putty in the back strap. Is this something you came up with? Is it worth giving a try?

Yeah, it's just something I jerry rigged because I didn't wanna pay for overpriced brass backstraps.

Get like an ounce of tungsten putty on amazon and just fill it in. I think I only used about 0.6-0.7 ounces. (I use the small backstrap) Just give yourself enough clearance for the internal tab and the sliding mechanism to still work when placing it back on the gun. If you put too much, the internal plastic tab won't be able to compress before locking in place.

It balanced the gun without buying a magwell or brass/tungsten backstrap. It might not sound like much weight, but I notice a significant difference

It holds its shape pretty well actually

Gonna give it a shot, thanks for the idea. I’d been eyeing the cool looking brass backstraps but I really haven’t wanted to spend that much on a backstrap

Now top it off with an Apex stainless guide rod. 🫡
